15.01.2022 Our Neighbourhood Houses are the lifeblood of our local communities delivering services and a social outlet to many in need. Today I visited the Goodwood Commun...ity House (Goodwood Community Centre, Tasmania), where a re-elected majority Gutwein Liberal Government will provide $5,200 for replacement garden beds including installation and replacement soil. Furthermore we will support a joint initiative between the Goodwood Community House and Bucaan Community House (Chigwell) with $61,077 in funding for the replacement of their 12-seater community bus that is shared between the two Houses. 15.01.2022 Thanks to our partnership with Share the Dignity, another #pinkbox has been installed in Hobart! Free period packs are now available at the Franklin Square amen...ities via a vending machine for anyone who needs them. It's one of 18 vending machines across Tasmania, including one at our Kemp St amenities (Argyle St carpark). This initiative is helping to stamp out period poverty in our community by making access to period products a right, rather than a privilege. Learn more at www.sharethedignity.org.au.
