23.01.2022 All childhood immunisation vaccines have now been delivered and are available. Appointments can be made online 24/7 from our website www.googongfp.com.au or by calling 5104 9595 Mon-Fri 8am - 5.30am. Unfortunately we are yet to receive our allocation of flu vaccines. We will post a message when these have been received.

21.01.2022 To reduce the risk of exposure to COVID-19, Drs Yemisi and Thanh will be consulting onsite on alternate days and providing telehealth on the other day. We will have a doctor onsite each day. Doctors roster commencing 6 April 2020: Dr Yemisi will be on site Tuesday & Thursday and alternate Fridays. On the other days she will be providing telehealth consultations for patients remotely.... Dr Thanh will be onsite Mon & Wednesday and alternate Fridays, he will be providing telehealth consultations on other days. Dr Thanh does not work Thursdays.

17.01.2022 Googong Family Practice wishes to advise that following the Prime Ministers recent announcement, we are now able to provide telehealth consultations. This means you will be able to access a GP during normal surgery hours via a telephone call for treatment of conditions that do not require a physical examination. This will reduce the need for you to travel and assist in maintaining social distancing objectives. 15.01.2022 Googong Family Practice has received its initial allocation of government supplied flu vaccines. These vaccines are only available for the following groups at higher risk of complications from influenza: - all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people aged 6 months and over - all children aged 6 months to less than 5 years of age ... - people aged 65 years and over (a vaccine that is specifically designed to produce a higher immune response is available for this group). - all individuals aged 6 months and over with medical risk conditions, namely: cardiac disease, including cyanotic congenital heart disease, coronary artery disease and congestive heart failure chronic respiratory conditions, including suppurative lung disease, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and severe asthma other chronic illnesses requiring regular medical follow up or hospitalisation in the previous year, including diabetes mellitus, chronic metabolic diseases, chronic renal failure, and haemoglobinopathies chronic neurological conditions that impact on respiratory function, including multiple sclerosis, spinal cord injuries, and seizure disorders impaired immunity, including HIV, malignancy and chronic steroid use children aged 6 months to 10 years on long term aspirin therapy pregnant women (influenza vaccine can be given at any stage of pregnancy). These vaccines are free and administering the vaccine will be bulk-billed to Medicare. 09.01.2022 Googong Family Practice welcomes Psychologist Gonzalo Santiago to our team. Gonzalo provides evidence-based psychological interventions to treat individuals (12 yrs +) facing psychological distress. This is available both in English and Spanish. Gonzalo can help with symptom reduction and treatment of a range of disorders including but not limited to, mood and other disorders such as depression, bipolar; anxiety, panic attacks, OCD, PTSD, adjustment and dissociative disorde...rs. Drawing on his experience and skills Gonzalo uses a range of therapeutic models to help the patient achieve and maintain a healthy harmony between thought, emotion and behaviour. In addition, Gonzalo uses clinical hypnosis which taps into the subconscious to assist with achievement of desired outcomes.
