21.01.2022 Hello all, In Term 4 I am looking at running an adult social tennis evening on a Tuesday night beginning at 7pm. It would be social doubles and fast 4 sets (just a shortened set). To make this work, I would need a minimum of 8 people and a maximum of 12 people who would be prepared to commit to an 8 week social comp. I would organise partners and matches. We would use a range of tennis balls depending on player level and play for 1.5-2 hours. You don’t have to be an expert!...! The ability to hit an over arm serve and have some tennis experience is a plus! I’m just trying to gauge interest at the moment. Let me know if you’d be interested. Just a reminder that the courts are open to the general public on weekends for free too until further notice. No bookings required. 20.01.2022 Hi Googong tennis enthusiasts! I have a couple of positions left for Tuesday Night Social Tennis. Let me know if you’re interested! It’s good fun and keeps you off the couch! I also have 3 spots left in my Redball hotshots lessons. These are suitable for beginner 5-8 year olds.... Unfortunately, all my lessons for older kids are now full, however let me know if you’re interested and I’ll keep you in mind if any vacancies become available. 18.01.2022 Hello all, I have been advised that until Tennis ACT/NSW and the state authorities release their approach to the Stage 1 easing of restrictions, the Googong courts will only be available for 1 on 1 coaching. As soon as I know more I’ll let everyone know. I wish I had better news...sorry.... Jason

16.01.2022 Hello all, Just letting everyone know the courts are open free of charge, no bookings required for the Easter school holiday period. Just rock up! I’m also taking registrations for Term 2 kids lessons and Tuesday Night Adult Social Tennis. If you’re interested, let me know.... Happy Easter !

10.01.2022 Hello all, Under advice from Tennis NSW/ACT and the Council, group lessons at Googong will recommence next week in accordance with the 10 person gathering rule. The courts will still be closed for casual play at this stage. As soon as I know more, I will let the community know. Jason Duff

10.01.2022 Thanks to everyone who expressed an interest in the social tennis. I now have enough people now to run the Tuesday evening. I will be in contact with these people via email in the next couple of weeks. Looking forward to the tennis ! Jason

Tuesday Red Ball 4.30-5.15pm - $160 Suitable for 5-8 year old beginners... Tuesday Orange Ball 5.30-6.30pm - $180 suitable for 7-12 year old beginner to intermediate Thursday Red Ball 4.30-5.15pm- $160 Suitable for 5-8 year old beginners Thursday Orange/Green Ball 5.30-6.30pm-$180 suitable for 7-12 year old beginner to intermediate Friday Orange/Green Ball 4.15-5.15pm -$180 suitable for 7-12 year old beginner to intermediate See you on court in Term 3. 09.01.2022 Hello all, I’ve just spoken with Tennis ACT and the council about restrictions for tennis at Googong. The situation remains the same until further notice; only one on one coaching is allowed at the present point in time. If you are interested in private lessons my reduced prices are as follows: 30 minutes = $30... 1 hour = $55 These prices will remain in place until all restrictions have been lifted. I also have some mini-nets, racquets and balls for hire if you want to do some drive-way/back yard tennis. If you’re interested in any of the above, let me know. I’ll let the community know about any updates as soon as I know more. Jason

03.01.2022 Great news Googonians! With the further easing of restrictions, from this weekend on the tennis courts will be open every weekend to the general public free of charge until further notice. The courts will be locked on Sunday evening. There are no bookings required; just be mindful of how long you play for particularly if there are other people who’d like to have a hit. There is still no confirmation of when the Book-a-Court system will be installed.... Enjoy the !
