25.01.2022 Hello members, it's almost time to think about playing our September trial games for the Saturday open pennant season. Firstly let me introduce this years selectors. Div 1 black John Lynch and Frank Gibbons. Div 1 white Frank Gibbons and Jan Southby. Div 2 Jan Southby and Di Best.... Div 3 black Di Best and Tag Hunter. Div 3 white Tag Hunter and David Evans Div 5 John Webb and David Evans. Div 6 John Webb and Margaret Borlase. Chairman: Randall Marsh. As you can see this year we have a tiered selection panel so all divisions work together to achieve better outcomes. Tomorrow evening Margaret will have posted our three trial matches in the outside cabinet. Please place your name on the lists if available to play. Saturday September 12 internal trial all divisions. Saturday September 19 div 1 black & white and div 2 will play Pt. Elliot away. The remainer divisions will play Pt. Elliot at home. Saturday September 26 Goolwa Vs Strathalbyn at home. See more



25.01.2022 Saturday August 29, 3 bowl triples. Today we concluded our last day of our winter bowls program. Winners: Terry. Weller, J.ohn Quinn and Peter. Ward 60 + 21 shots. R/Up: Glen Best. Jan Jaenisch and Neville Woolcock 57 + 14 shots. W.O.L. Des Fromm, Mal Borlase and Ted Ozols 29 + 14 shots.... 20 teams played in sunshine. 17.01.2022 Hello members, our next trial game will be against PT. Elliot. At this moment I can't give numbers available from Pt. Elliot, hopefully we will have clarity soon. Due to the covid restriction numbers per clubhouse space, games will be split between both clubs. I will leave a copy of the teams with Jody who will email this information to members. Good Bowling.

Winners on A green: Ted Ozols and Frank Gibbons +22 shots 77% Winners on B green: Mal Sekulitch and Bruce Trenorden 21 & 71% Winners on C green: Bob Ward and John Hudson 21 & 71%... 13.01.2022 The President’s Open Fours was run today at Goolwa initially under beautiful blue skies with very little wind, however weather turned a bit cooler later in the day but the conditions for bowling remained very good. The Goolwa Bowling Club would like to thank this year’s sponsor, Northpoint Fleurieu, Victor Harbor, for their generous support. The winners of the day, representing Glenelg, were: Lead - Bruce Hall. Second - Rob Tiver.... Third - Bruce Dunstan. Skip - John Smith. 12.01.2022 On Monday 7th December the annual Ham and Turkey Day was run at the Goolwa Bowling Club. On a cool, windy day 36 teams played for the coveted prize of one full leg of ham for each player in the winning team. The winners were: 1st place and winning a full leg of ham each was a combination team from Port Elliot and Victor Harbor: Jim Gamble, Ken Waller, Chris Monk and Len Basford (60 points and 24 shots up) 2nd place and going home with half leg of ham a team representing Goo...lwa: John Doyle, Dennis Lloyd, Randall Marsh and Mike Whitehead. (59 points and 23 shots up) 3rd place with a turkey roll each a team from Myponga: Dennis Sheldon, John Savage, Stephen Farthing and Peter Corby. After a cold. windy wet week, how good to see the sun shine again. 32 Teams competed across all three greens for a near full house. Winners: Gary Fox and John Doyle 58 + 18 shots.... Runner Up: Geaoff Wood and Bob Kraft 57 + 8 shots. W.O.L. Rob Lawson and Brenton Roberts 31 + 17 shots. We welcomed bowlers from. Langhorne Creek, Strathalbyn, Pt. Elliot, Victor Harbor, Willunga, McLaren Vale and our own Goolwa members. Thank you to everyone for supporting our club during the winter program. Remember we have tomorrow and Saturday to conclude our winter season. 08.01.2022 Hello members once again, this Saturday is our trial game against Strathalbyn at home. Please wear your uniform and attend the club by 12.30 pm for a 1.00 pm start. Strathalbyn will be coming with four divisions. The lower divisions have missed out lately playing against another club and we have taken this onboard this week to be fair across the board. Division 1 black & white will play Strathalbyn. Division 2 and Division 3 black will play a derby. Division 3 white & divisio...n 5 will play Strathalbyn. Insuffient numbers to fill div 6 and we also have all 3 greens full. So division 6 will be rested this weekend. Jody will email out the team selections in due course. See more

03.01.2022 Hello members, Just wanted to inform you all of a change of date. Our club book has our pre-season information night as Friday September 25th. Our bowling operations director Kym Richardson has now moved this to Friday October 9th.

01.01.2022 Club open day Saturday September 5th. To kick off our new season Mayor Keith Parkes and our lady patron Lorraine Trenorden rolled down the first bowl. President Rick Morriss introduced our new board members for this year. Rick also handed the pennant shields and badges from last seasons winners. John Brown accepted the shield for division 2 David Evans accepted the shield for division 4... Don Williams accepted the shield for division 6 Most bowlers enjoyed a fun 8 ends of scroungers.
