24.01.2022 Looks like SACA have decided to cancel all cricket in SA for 2 weeks due to current Covid outbreak! Test match in doubt too. Will provide more details as we get informed.



21.01.2022 Plans for the new Clubrooms with demolition work to start in December. The existing Clubrooms will stay until completion - new building being built from the BBQ hut to the other end of the canteen.

18.01.2022 A Grade recovered after a poor start to post 160 on the turf against Enc Bay and have them 1-2. C1 side had a day to forget being skittled for 45 and being passed with little trouble by Mt C C2 had a fine win chasing down 112 against Enc Bay winning by 6 wickets with Greg Bald top scoring with 66, Leigh Angus 27* and Dave Carter taking 5-8.... Congrats to Baldy making his 7500th run and Trev Annan taking his 300th wicket for the Club.

17.01.2022 A GRADE MATCH UPDATE On the turf at Encounter Bay, Goolwa Captain Josh Jones led his side into bat with seasoned campaigner Luke Giddings. Giddings got a good one from Chris Butler to be trapped in front for a leaving the Pies 1/0. ... Jesse Le Ray came and went for five, bowled by Bailey as the visitors slumped to 2/11. Shaun Burger joined Jones at the crease as the boys looked to steady. The pair put on 35, of which Burger hit 26. At 3/46, Andy Evans strolled to the crease but could only manage nine before losing his wicket - apparently caught, off the bowling of Acheson. In can Jesse Consalvo who was looking carry on his unbeaten form this season. He was beaten by a ball from Acheson, losing his castle for a Fred Nissen became Acheson’s third scalp, caught for two before Ty Rigney entered the game. Rigney hit 26 of a much needed 51 run partnership with Josh Jones who was compiling a brilliant innings. When Rigney fell, Goolwa were 7/133, Acheson had 4 wickets and there was still 17 overs left in the day. Crees came and went, bowled by Butler for five as Jake Ashton-Place joined the skipper in the middle. Jones was trapped LBW by Butler for an excellent 54, batting through 62.1 overs. Ashton-Place hit two fours before losing his stumps to Butler for 17 and ending the innings on 162. With six overs left in the day, Jayden Crees took the new ball with inspirational skipper Jones to try and take a wicket or two late on day one. Jones struck with the second ball of the second over, picking up Hutchesson for a and seeing the Bays finish the day 1/2.

13.01.2022 Goodbye to the gear room as we get ready for clubrooms re-build to start. C Grade mats, Stumps and and under12 kit in change rooms. Thanks to Andy and Dan for their work today. Looks like no cricket until Dec1st weekend at this stage.

04.01.2022 A great tribute to our Club Legend Tucky in this week's online Times (will be in next weeks paper). He has missed the 1989 and 1991 seasons and since then has played 28 consecutive seasons and with his Colts career has actually played 38 seasons for the club!
