21.01.2022 Today is the last of Mums and Bubs class for the season. Thank you for your support and a shout out of thanks to those parents who travelled to bring their children to the class. As long as the pool is open other classes will continue as normal up to the end of next week. We have some make up classes due but given the current climate I am not sure how that will morph. Will keep you posted as information comes to hand.

19.01.2022 Hi everyone, as you know playgroup hasnt been on this year as yet due to the Breitkrutz Pavilion being out for tender. There is council representatives coming o...ut to the building to discuss with playgroup on Tuesday the 24th of March at 9.30am. It would be great to gather everyone there to see What happens next for our towns playgroup. 19.01.2022 Be assured that I have your children's best interest at heart and I am closely monitoring the advices from relevant authorities. Should I come into contact with someone who tests positive (unlikely, I am not a social butterfly) or should I start to feel unwell in any way please be assured I will cancel classes immediately. The medium us swim teachers work in is designed to kill germs. So when coming to the pool, please maintain hand hygiene when using facilities and if you or your children are feeling snuffly then please cancel attendance.

16.01.2022 As long as the pool is open, Swimming is still on! If you are slightly nervous about your child swimming in this crazy time, please read below the measurements I’m taking to minimise risk Try to avoid rest on the wall together Spread out over the lanes as much as possible Separate equipment for each participant... Kids learn to swim lessons are still on for kids who I can teach from the side of the pool with proper distancing. If your child needs support in the water I am happy to do this and minimise face to face contact or a parent can do this and I will guide the lesson from the side of the pool. . I can’t stress enough how important it is that we keep some normalcy for children in this crazy time. And remember to keep supporting local! Everyone will be struggling for a while so anything we can do to support each other

12.01.2022 It is with regret I advise the closure for the season of Goomeri Swim School in line with updated advices from Swim Teachers Australia. This afternoon's classes at Kilkivan Pool will go ahead as planned with appropriate social distancing protocols for those who wish to get in one more swim. NB I am happy to refund these last two weeks of lessons for those who were billed through me so please send me your bank details with a private message and I will get that back to you. Those who have been billed via Kilkivan Club will receive an email from them.

05.01.2022 Dear Parents: We have sold our property and will be moving away. I will keep this page active in the hope that I can hand it over as a central point to the new swim teacher. I certainly will miss each and every one of the kids who have gone from my arms to independence in the water, it has been my absolute pleasure to work with these kids . . . And the parents whose names I never remember, I have lost count of the number of times I said to a child, "what's your Mums name again"

03.01.2022 Packing today I found a newspaper from March 2014. Thinking I must have kept it for a reason. I flick through the pages and sure enough find a photo of my grandchildren. But as I am flicking through I also see these 3 cuties and ones of their parents. (Do I dare!!!)
