25.01.2022 Some new purchases from a breeder I keep returning to for the quality of their cattle - a new bull about to join the team, Wirrigai Centurian has all the attributes Im looking for and at 2yo is the complete package, with outstanding daily weight gains. Two young heifers, Wirrigai Olala and Wirrigai Carena were recently weaned and will spend some time growing on a backgrounding block, prior to becoming exciting additions to the female base.

25.01.2022 Some of next years joining heifers enjoying relief from buffalo fly after a spray - more grass (and flies) than can poke a stick at..

24.01.2022 This 4 month old bull calf is shaping up to have a halter put on him this year - his mums 12yo and produces this quality year in year out

24.01.2022 I have two 3yo Droughties ready to start working, price is $3000 each plus gst and can deliver locally. Both are located Laceys Creek, Dayboro and are out of stud cows and sire but havent been registered

23.01.2022 Out and about today checking on calving and bulls, its hot and we need rain but its a good life

21.01.2022 Young bulls ready for sale, (the front and last animals in the video, others are steers Ive just shifted in). Paddock condition, not grain fed and ready to work. $2200 plus gst Dayboro area

20.01.2022 These heifers are 14mths old and will join with the bull soon - not soon enough either I found one talking to a neighbours charbray mickey bull through the fence today...she thought it was true love and protested all the way to her new paddock, far enough away from him!

19.01.2022 Wirrigai Centurion is proving to be quite the sire with some pretty handy calves starting to drop. He worked pretty hard covering a large mob of maiden heifers through the dry period so hes having some R&R before going back out to work

18.01.2022 The places cows have their calves A beaut vale view heifer we bought last year at Coolabunia sale - cracking little first heifer calf - she had it right before I arrived in the boggiest wettest gully - dragged the calf out with mum right up my clacker to high ground

16.01.2022 Watching the storms roll through while having a quiet beer and reflecting on the year thats been, while it sometimes seems like two steps forward and one step back, it made me realise how far weve come. It started with the purchase of 8 foundation cows and calves a bit over 2 years ago - those calves are now siring the current drop, and through select purchases we have an additional 12 registered females and an exciting new bull. All bar a few have calves on the ground and there are some special calves that will no doubt make it onto the show team 2018 and hopefully go on to do well in the sale ring which is the next goal.

15.01.2022 This camera didn’t capture any wild dogs yet but I reckon this is a pretty cool pic of one of my stud heifers admiring the view up the mountain

15.01.2022 One of our foundation sires, Wararba Park Absolute Power nicknamed Turbo was by a lovely bull Amavale Turbo. He was the leading man in the herd when they were purchased from the Rutherford family, who also own Wararba Park Poll Hereford Stud, Turbos lines are carried through a number of our females and he is the sire of a number of 3yo bulls ready for sale.

14.01.2022 A Bryvonlea heifer purchased at the National Female sale Bryvonlea Inari is proving to be a good mother with a heifer calf shaping already up as a future keeper.

12.01.2022 Brought some of my 4yo stud droughty bulls home to Dayboro today from Boonah so I can sell them - very happy with their calves out of some Santa cows, great hindquarters on them and very growthy, soft calves

12.01.2022 Wirrigai Kiss is a due to have her first calf this week, got her in a bit handier so I can keep an eye on her. Hopefully we can get her and her calf to a few shows this year all going well

08.01.2022 This camera didnt capture any wild dogs yet but I reckon this is a pretty cool pic of one of my stud heifers admiring the view up the mountain

08.01.2022 Baby heifer hiding in the grass

05.01.2022 Missed out at the sales? We have a 4yo registered bull for sale, $3000 plus gst. Paddock condition, no grain, located Dayboro. Can assist with local delivery... Also have two 2yo bulls avail (unregistered) $2200 plus gst each.

04.01.2022 Another of our foundation sires, Breffni Abba is a quiet, soft bull who produces ideal replacement heifers. Abba is getting on in years now and spends his days with the commercial cows, but has sired some of the current drop of stud calves.

01.01.2022 A nice surprise this morning, a maiden heifer purchased at a DM National sale in 2016, Scrubby Mt Kandy had a bull calf to show me by Breffni Abba. A big birthweight calf she had no trouble calving and is the perfect mum, looking forward to him filling out over the coming weeks.

01.01.2022 Some of the current drop of young calves
