The right candidate will need to be adaptable, autonomous and able to juggle many balls at the same time. JOB TITLE: Executive Officer for Goondiwindi Chamber of Comme...rce (GCC) JOB TYPE: Part-time - 25 hours per week LOCATION: 45 Bowen Lane, Goondiwindi, 4390 SUPERVISOR/MANAGER: President This role MAIN DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: - Managing and facilitating the requests and strategies of the committee - Event organisation whether they be workshops, meetings or social events - Marketing Email marketing, social media, website blogs and media releases - Project management varying projects that help to educate, empower or benefit the community - Management of the Grow Gundy Gift card programs including approaching new businesses, setting up terminals, marketing, - Membership management managing membership and email lists, membership drives, managing membership enquiries - Communications Engaging all levels of the community including Not-for-profits, Community organisations, businesses, individuals, Council, Government and Non-government bodies - Managing the Twilight on Marshall event event management, safety, marketing, engaging businesses and working with council - Administration duties paperwork, filing, applying for grants, supporting the Treasurer to manage budget and account payments Experience: Previous experience in a similar style role is preferred but not required Previous experience in using Social Media (Facebook) for business is required Previous experience in using a Customer Relationship Management software system, Canva and Mailchimp will be highly regarded Previous experience in applying for grants and writing media releases Previous experience engaging with business owners, government and non-government bodies and councils To apply for this role, please submit a cover letter and resume to: [email protected] Applications close 30th August!

08.01.2022 Goondiwindi Meets the Candidates Last night's 'Meet the Candidates' proved to be a great opportunity to hear from five of the candidates contesting this year's State Election. A cross-section of our local community listened to the presentations that addressed key issues in our region including water security, health services and law and order. The audience then asked questions of the speakers, or caught up informally after the presentations. The aim of the program is to provide disadvantaged young people in our community with increased employment opportunities and driver education.
