24.01.2022 HELLO! It’s us, the Baby Son’s! Mum and Mim asked us to tell you they haven’t forgotten about you, they promise. ‘Apparently’ we are time consuming... ... Lots of things have been falling. Like rain and tears. So much so we nearly went swimming on the weekend! Mum said she’s got lots of updates to share as soon as she can. 20.01.2022 Help us celebrate NAIDOC Week with our precious wombats. There are 38 First Nations clans in Victoria, each with their own unique culture, language and ceremoni...es. In Victoria the wombat is variously known as Wariin (Taungurung - Seymour area) or Wambir (Boonurung -Frankston area and Wurundjeri - Melbourne area ). This stocky marsupial is unusual in that the pouch opens toward the rear, which avoids getting dirt in the pouch when mum is digging. The First Nations People of Australia have cared for this land and its living creatures for 65,000 years. 17.01.2022 Emily and Landon in iso This is the Emily, founder of the Goongerah Wombat Orphanage, with Landon, a 4 month old orphaned bare-nosed wombat joey (Vombatus ursi...nus). Whilst Landons mum survived the recent Australian bushfires, she was sadly killed a month later after being struck by a car.
