20.01.2022 Hello parents and carers! I sent a note home today to let you know of the performance program for Friday. It does ask for students to come at 8:15 am to drop off any costume changes to the music room, but this is specifically targeted at the senior students involved in a number of performances. Sorry for any confusion. Junior choir students and Room 6 class members need to go to their classroom for their usual 8:30 open time. All students come dressed in their performance costume, with their Colour Run outfit ready to change into after the assembly. Thank you! Mrs O’Reilly

19.01.2022 GOOSEBERRY HILL PRIMARY SCHOOL OPEN NIGHT Venue: Old Undercover Area 5:00 pm - The Gooseberry Hill Primary School Orchestra ... 5:15 pm - The Gooseberry Hill Senior Choir 5:40 pm - Band 5:50 pm - Drum Club (Please note orchestra students need to meet Mrs Tweddle at 4:30 pm to set up and tune instruments) Note: We are aware students will want time to go to their classrooms and other areas of the school to show off all of their hard work! Some students are involved in all of these performances. We are hoping the hour following will give you enough time to walk around and enjoy the evening's festivities. 17.01.2022 I wanted to celebrate these songstresses who have developed so much confidence this year. They were always fantastic singers, but they didn’t back themselves and their ability enough. We have been working together this past term, and I’m sure you will agree...they sound just beautiful. I play guitar in this, but I didn’t sing once. This is all them. Two part harmony and owning it. 03.01.2022 Well! What an incredible day at Stirk Fest. Thank you so much to our wonderful parents for creating such incredible costumes. Thank you to our students who not only performed beautifully but behaved exceptionally. I can’t wait to add our magnificent Year Ones to this bunch next term. I could not be prouder! Today we were joined by Kalamunda Primary School, Lesmurdie Primary School, Marys Mount Primary School and Orange Grove Primary School. It was a wonderful celebration of music in our community. 02.01.2022 Songbirds: Just a reminder that all new members of the Senior Choir (Songbirds Graduates who have attended rehearsals with Miss Lowe all year) can start after school rehearsals in Week Two. Please note, after-school rehearsals are not compulsory for Songbird students until next year. We would strongly encourage them to attend, however if the students have other extra curricular activities at that time, it is fine to start after school rehearsals next year.
