25.01.2022 40th Nacra Nationals NOR

25.01.2022 Nacra Meningie Nationals. The 3 photo's all tell a story of my recent Nacra Nationals. The broken trapezi on the 9th race caused the 2 broken bones in my hand. (double break in one bone and single break in the other). We replaced the trapezi after finishing the heat and returned to the water to win the 10th heat, before going to hospital. This gave us 9 wins and the 4th from race 9 and the 1st place trophy for the 2nd year in a row.... However if the break in both trapezi and hand had occurred either in the series the results would have been different. So if like me, if you like the trapezi's on your boat I would recommend replacement every couple of years, even if they dont look damaged. Mine was lightly used and only 3 seasons old and showed no visible signs of damage, but they are covered with plastic making it difficult to detect. Had no signs of rust visible after the break either. Yes I will change out the trapeze hooks to the solid SS bar type.

24.01.2022 Well after 28 years driving across Australia to go sailing I thought I had seen it all. But encountered my first "dust" storm on the way home East of Cobar. When it hit the breeze changed 180 degrees in an instant and I estimated it to be 80-100km. Trying to push the boat and car of the road. Air temperature dropped 20 degrees from 42 to 22 instantly, Visibility was reduced to a couple of car lengths, and driving speed was down to 60 km/hr until it passed some 15-20 minutes l...atter. Wasn't safe to stop as no shoulder on the road and its the main East - West road train route. Only good news was on the other side was a thunder storm and heavy rain washed most of the dust off the car and boat. Temperature rapidly climber back to 40, but the rain brought the kangaroos out early to feed and drink. Don't think they have seen much rain out there for a while. See more

22.01.2022 Nacra 15 available A ex Worlds Nacra 15 with less than 3 months sailing has just come onto the market. The boat is located in North Queensland, but can be put into the container coming to Perth at Xmas time for a small fee. Great time to buy the kids a Xmas Present. Owner chasing $24,000 ono. Includes large rubber wheels and bum chocks. Last sailed at Wangi Nationals.... Contract me if your interested ([email protected]) and I will put you in touch with the owner. He is only selling because he recently traded another boat for the Nacra 15 and already has another Nacra 15 he is currently racing. 19.01.2022 The recent passing of one of our NACRA WA members is a big loss too all those that knew Michael Devereux. Our thoughts are with the family and others who knew Michael. He can be seen in the attached photo in the Green striped top assisting at one of our Nacra events.

19.01.2022 5th year in a row I am doing the winter break recovering from surgery. I had a finger joint replacement done during the week and hope to be able to bend the finger I haven't been able to bend for 3 years at the end of this. Stitches come out new week and cast on for 6 weeks and then the hard work begin's with rehab. Hoping to be back on the boat by the start of the season in October. I did manage to get 2 16sq's overhauled and delivered to new owners who will be sailing out ...of JBSC. Welcome Ben and Chris to the growing 16sq fleet. Sorry, Leigh (lil goose) but your 16sq overhaul will need to be put on hold for a few weeks. Leigh recently took delivery of #359 and plan's on sailing this at the national's. Yes he's dusted me! and I will need to break a new crew in. On a plus side I have got the Nacra Nationals NOR ready to release, just waiting on the club to give the go ahead. See more

18.01.2022 3 year old Nacra Infusion 4 sale. My Infusion that has won the last 2 Nacra Nationals is for sale. 1 regatta old Performance DS main and jib and a lightly used polyester spinnaker. As sailed at recent nationals. $19k ono. located in Bunbury WA. Get in early for the worlds in Perth in March 2021.

17.01.2022 Goose Marine would like to wish all our customers a great Xmas. We will be heading to the NACRA nationals titles early on Boxing day, driving to Qld. only 4500kms to the venue. We will effectively be unable to ship orders from 26th December until I return on 12 January 2017. New boat waiting for me in Brisbane, thanks to Brisbane Cat Centre for arranging the pickup from Sydney and Mick Guinea for assembling.... As well as my new F18 I will also be bringing a ex NZ worlds Nacra 15 home for a local WA crew. Boosting the local Nacra fleet. Merry Xmas to all and safe travels to sailors heading off to nationals.

16.01.2022 Another new Nacra Decksweeper sail in W.A. All are tuning for the nationals in Meningie. WA have 5 Infusions travelling and all will have the Nacra DS mainsail. Looking forward to getting on the water latter in the month with my DS.

13.01.2022 Sta master unijoint's now available. These are recommended for F18 Infusion and other euro boats with the screw in bolt side stay tang. They will allow movement in both directions and reduce fatigue and possible failure on the bolt. Distance between pins is 32mm and if your sidestays are already stretched a new set maybe also be required to allow for the extra length.

Being sailed from JBSC, Fremantle WA 30th December 2017 to 5th January 2018.... Get your entry and accommodation sorted early. Camping on site available by contacting the club. Social program still being sorted and will be available in the coming weeks.

10.01.2022 Congratulations to Shannon and Jaydon Dalton, winners of the Nacra 15 Australian Youth Titles. Convincing win with 7 1st places. The boat was one I brought back from Qld in January and is part of the rapidly growing Nacra 15 fleet in Australia and W.A. Their transition to high performance cats has been amazing and I am sure its not the last time we will see there name in future results.

10.01.2022 Team Goose Marine brings home 2 national titles from the NACRA nationals in Forster. We took out the F18 series and son, Leigh Gornall took out the 16sq series (back to back titles). Big thanks to my crew Scott Golder.

08.01.2022 All ropes in stock have been reduced for the next couple of months. I need to make some room for the new stock coming in and have reduced most of the rope and shockcord stock. All ropes are top quality marine ropes, some Australian manufactured brands (Whittam) and some are Liros brand.

07.01.2022 The new Nacra Deck Sweeper mainsail had its first outing today in Bunbury. The Boom-less Prototype has been in use over the past couple of months in WA, but this is the first of the new boom models recently released as the approved class Nacra mainsail in Australia. A second new one will be rolled out tomorrow, also in Bunbury in preparation for our Nacra State Titles. This will have 3 boats using the DS sail for the event.
