22.01.2022 The Victorian government announced yesterday a new rubbish bin scheme in order to help reduce the waste Victorians produce, announced was a four-bin plan, one for household waste, another for organic waste, another for paper and recyclables and a last one for glass. Very exciting news as this is a great approach to help us reduce our carbon footprint and minimize the waste we produce in a very resourceful and sustainable way. Oodles and oodles of exciting things happening though, we can assure you After having the council pop out for a visit today, we’re getting a little excited that we’ll be able to announce our location very soon. 20.01.2022 Wouldn't it have been great to have opened the Gordon Farmgate 6 months ago? We would have established suppliers, a loyal customer following and an abundance of local goodies to fill your fridges, larders and pantries. Sadly no-one could have predicted the mess we find the world in today so we are putting the Gordon FarmGate into a holding pattern until the social isolating storm has passed. We do this with a heavy heart but with the safety of all of our volunteers and commun...ity as our highest priority. We want to encourage everyone to please stay home and only head out for essentials. On a final note for now, be kind to each other. Support each other. Check on your neighbors and plan on ways to keep in touch. Support your local businesses who are doing all they can to survive. Buy local products and have them delivered. Every little bit helps. We will get through this if we all stick together.

02.01.2022 We've been talking for a few weeks now about Veggie/produce Boxes. Then that pesky little virus got in the way and we haven't progressed any further. However, its now more than ever that we need to start working hard in supporting our local businesses and our local food sources. So if you know a supplier who can help us out in sourcing veggie/produce boxes message us, tag us, yell at us or even send a pigeon with a note. We're keen to get this up and running asap.
