16.01.2022 Hi everyone, just thought I would tell you my discussions with Preston Peak about a locals night are continuing. Two dates are firming for a set menu, which we can have some input into. How does Saturday, June 3 or Friday, July 21 sound. Or should be try and do both. Needed at least 60 people each night. We can spread the word and get a few ring-ins if needed, but between Preston and Hodgensvale I think we will do that easy.

13.01.2022 Hi neighbours! I have put a lot of citrus in a wheelbarrow near the post box of my house - please take them - I have far too many. There are mandarines, lemons, lemonades, limes and grapefruit.

13.01.2022 HI Everyone. This is Belinda on behalf of Chris. The last correspondence he had with Preston Peak about June 3rd was that the restaurant was coming up with a set menu and getting back to him. I have sent another email just now asking for it. I also asked for the price for kids. Of course it wont be the same for adults. We are bringing our kids.. so kids are welcome and the restaurant has a play area. No price has been set. I will try to get it as soon as possible. The rest...aurant wanted a list of names and the price set based on that. I would expect it to be reasonable because it is a set menu. We can change the menu to lower the price. I would anticipate a bit like a wedding - two choices like chicken or fish but again waiting for the menu. Can anyone confirm? I will hopefully get a response to my emails soon. Will let you know as soon as I do. We need 60. I think it will be fun!!! Thanks Belinda

10.01.2022 Does anyone here have kids that go to Martin Luther or Concordia? If there are a number of families around here that would be interested in using their bus serv...ice then they might add an extra 12kms to their existing route and come out this way. They charge $135 per term which works out to be about $1.35 per trip. See more

06.01.2022 Hi all, I had a thought and approached Preston Peak Winery to see if they would be interested in putting on a "locals night" every now and then when we could go for dinner on a Friday night at the winery. They said they would need 50 to 60 people ... do you think we could get enough of us "locals" together to make it worth their while. Thoughts?

06.01.2022 I have been talking to Council this morning and they are planning on mowing the park and removing the barriers to the new basketball court in the next couple of days before the Xmas Party. The Xmas Party is this Saturday at 2pm in the park. There will be a working bee to set up a few things at 10am.

05.01.2022 HI!!! I have the final list for June 3rd at Preston Peak. 49 adults and 27 kids are now on the list. Remember if you commit you commit! I will be submitting all the names I have to the chefs Sunday. If you have any dietary requirements please let me know before then. Belinda (2 vegetarians I have so far)
