09.01.2022 UPDATE: Ryan has been found!! Thankyou everyone who shared and messaged us! Much love to all of you So as most people know by now Ryan Lagois has gone missi...ng he was last spoken to at about 1:30am Friday morning when he was at Warriewood McDonalds, we have been able to determine that he then purchased what we presume was fuel at 4am Friday morning on the Pacific Highway at Wahroonga. Ryan doesn’t have his phones but has his laptop! He was logged into Facebook for about 10 mins on Friday night just after 6pm, we are unsure if He reached out to anyone during this time, he hasn’t been online or active since. He had an event he was meant to be at last night near Lithgow and did not show up nor contact the organisers for that. Everyone that knows Ryan well knows that this is completely out of character for him and there are legitimate concerns for his welfare and current state of mind. Below is a picture of his current car and what he is driving. Can everyone share the hell out of this post so we can reach as many of his friends and contacts that we can. If you have any information of any ideas where he might be please flick me a PM If anyone has heard from him since Friday it is impertive that you reach out. UPDATE: Ryan was spotted at Scone Mcdonald’s at approximately 2pm on his laptop, we are checking cameras to confirm. UPDATE: has been confirmed that it was Ryan at Mcdonald’s at Scone!

08.01.2022 Say Gday to Narara Rural Fire Brigade at Lisarow 4WD SUPA Centre. Go on down and grab a delicious snag sanga and drink. Do you like onions on top or bottom?

05.01.2022 On behalf of Warnervale Rural Fire Brigade, we would like to express our deepest sympathies to our VRA colleagues and the family of Stephen Grant. Thanks mate, ...your shift is done now. ----------- About a month ago, we posted a story about our very good friend and colleague Stephen Grant, who has been battling stage 4 glioblastoma since October 2018. It is with great sadness we announce that Steve passed away early Saturday morning. Steve joined the Central Coast Rescue Squad in 2012, and was one of the most active members in squad. Responding at a moments notice to call outs, manning rescue trucks, attending fundraising events, and putting in many, many hours training and helping maintain the rescue vehicles and equipment. In September 2020 at our monthly business meeting, Steve was given Life Member status of the Central Coast Rescue Squad. We would like to send our deep heartfelt condolences to Steve’s friends and family, and especially to Steve’s partner Dale. We would also like to pass on our thanks to the Mark Hughes Foundation, Carrie's Beanies 4 Brain Cancer Foundation for their support, and to the Melbourne Storm for their support and post on Twitter. The Rescue 50 callsign will never be the same without Steve. Rest In Peace

04.01.2022 If there is a fire near you, you will find it’s Alert Level on the NSW RFS website, on the Fires Near Me app, or by calling the NSW RFS Bush Fire Information Li...ne on 1800 NSW RFS (1800 679 737). These Alert Levels help you know what you should do when a fire is near you and act as a trigger point as to when you activate your Bush Fire Survival Plan. There are 3 alert levels: ADVICE level means a fire has started. There is no immediate danger. Stay up to date in case the situation changes. WATCH AND ACT means there is a heightened level of threat. Conditions are changing and you need to start taking action to protect you and your family. EMERGENCY WARNING is the highest level of Bush Fire Alert. You may be in danger and need to take action immediately. Any delay now puts your life at risk. Make sure you keep an eye on any fires that start near you as they can escalate quickly, and put your bush fire plan into place according to the alert level. Additionally, you can set ‘Watch Zones’ on the Fires Near Me, which can help you stay up to date about fire conditions. There are three ways to set them up. 1: Hold down on the map select your location and tap ‘Add Watch Zone’. 2: In the menu select ‘My Watch Zones’ and select ‘Add a new Watch Zone’. 3: Search from the map tap the search button at the top of the screen, enter an address and select ‘Add Watch Zone’. You can also select a radius to keep watch on. This means you’ll receive notifications for that distance from the location you drop the pin. Remember if the watch zone is larger, you’re likely to receive more notifications. A smaller watch zone may mean you receive less notifications but you may not be notified about incidents that are moving quickly. https://www.rfs.nsw.gov.au/news-and-media/stay-up-to-date #getreadyweekend #nswrfs #firesnearme

03.01.2022 Crews continue to work towards containing the Pacific Hwy, Duranbah fire burning to the east of the Pacific Hwy at Duranbah. Back burning operations are being u...ndertaken along Clothiers Creek Rd and smoke will be visible in the area and from the Pacific Highway. It is suspected that this fire began from an escaped private burn. Although there has been recent rain, grass areas remain quite dry and under current conditions it’s important to be careful and keep any eye on any burns on your property. It is expected that strong winds will continue across parts of the state until at least Sunday. Take note of forecast conditions and remember you must notify your neighbours and fire authorities 24 hours in advance before lighting up.

03.01.2022 POTENTIAL EAST COAST LOW - #EASTCOAST The #NSWSES is encouraging residents to use the weekend to prepare for possible thunderstorms and periods of heavy ...rain that are predicted to develop early over Sunday and into early next week. At this stage, there is potential for an East Coast Low to develop somewhere between the #MidNorthCoast and #SouthCoast that may result in more intense periods of heavy rain, strong winds and hazardous surf conditions. NSW SES Northern Zone Deputy Commander Tony Day said "Currently there is some uncertainty about the location of the system however it is likely to bring with it the possibility of riverine and localised flash flooding as we move into next week." NSW SES is encouraging residents to clean roofs gutters and downpipes, trim trees branches away from property and secure down outdoor items and furniture as a way of preparing their property for severe weather. Mr. Day continued, "The current COVID-19 environment presents additional considerations for emergency services in responding to severe weather events. So the most practical way the community can help should the heavy rain eventuate is to avoid all non essential travel and to never drive, ride or walk through floodwaters." Ensure you stay up to date by registering for our SMS Alerts. www.nswincidentalerts.com Image: Current EC Model, 10 Day rainfall. This is likely to chop and change before the weekend.

01.01.2022 HEADS UP, TIME TO PREPARE FOR STORMS Over the next few days, the Bureau of Meteorology is forecasting a broad trough and low-pressure system to roll acros...s southeast Australia. This will bring some showers and thunderstorms, mostly to inland NSW during Friday and Saturday, and extending to northeast NSW on Sunday. This low is likely to deepen near the NSW coast in the days afterwards, bringing the potential for heavy rainfall that may lead to flash and riverine flooding, damaging wind gusts and surf. We are expecting to see storm activity around Sydney early next week. Now is the time to prepare your property, some things you can do now: Clean out your gutters. Inspect your roof for cracked tiles. Ensure your drains are clear of debris. Secure loose item on your yard or on your balcony.
