The staff are lovely, helpful and very honest - I asked for ant and cockroach treatment even though I hadn’t had ants in a while and they informed me the ant treatment is unnecessary unless you have an ant issue at the time. 16.01.2022 Well done, David! It's an EARWIG. It may sound like something out of Harry Potter, but it's not. 1) Whilst it's an Insect, it's not considered a PEST. 2) Earwigs are part of the Dermaptera family. 3) An adult earwig can be from 5-25mm in size.... 4) They have two pairs of wings and pincers on the back of their abdomens used to catch their prey and protect themselves from other creatures. 5) They are nocturnal. 6) They are omnivorous; ie. they can eat plants and other insects as well. 7) Their pincers are used to defend themselves. 8) If disturbed including trying to catch them, they may insert their pincers into human skin. 9) Earwig bites are not deadly for people and are as common as mosquito and ant bites. 10) Earwig bites can break the skin and need to cleaned.
