23.01.2022 It was our pleasure to host the annual Peter Turnbull Community Awards this morning with 5 outstanding awardees across a wide variety of community service. Our awards were MC’d by the Hon. Robyn Parker / Rotary Club of Gosford City member and Vocational Director. Our heartfelt thanks to all our community voluntary contributors for the tireless and important work you choose to do

MEN'S HEALTH BREAKFAST WITH SPECIAL GUEST SPEAKER, JIM LLOYD A very special occasion this week with a focus on men's health. In Australia, prostate cancer is the most commonly diagnosed cancer in men with almost 20,000 diagnoses and close to 3,500 deaths each year. More men die of prostate cancer than wome...n die of breast cancer. Our guest speaker, former Federal Member for Robertson, The Hon Jim Lloyd, is now an Ambassdor for the Prostate Foundation of Australia. The Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia (PCFA) is a broad based community organisation and the peak national body for prostate cancer in Australia. They are dedicated to reducing the impact of prostate cancer on Australian men, their partners and families, recognising the diversity of the Australian community. They do this by: Promoting and funding world leading, innovative research into prostate cancer; Implementing awareness and advocacy campaigns and education programs for the Australian Community, health professionals and Government; and Supporting men and their families affected by prostate cancer through evidence-based information and resources, support groups and Prostate Cancer Specialist Nurses. 15.01.2022 Today we had the Hon. Jim Lloyd speak about the need for awareness of Prostate Cancer prevention and awareness. Jim shared his personal challenge of overcoming his diagnosis of cancer among other special guests who have had similiar journeys. It was a fund raiser for the Prostate Cancer Foundation and, from today’s efforts we raised $1,200 for the Foundation. Many thanks Jim

13.01.2022 Today we welcomed Mike Tattoli as our newest member of the Rotary Club of Gosford City. Mike has fascinating commercial and personal interests including Council management, motorcycling and training/teaching in the Martial Arts discipline. Welcome Mike Tattoli

04.01.2022 David Little from NSW Roads & Maritime Services was our guest speaker this morning. He is a professional boating safety trainer and skipper. He spoke about the need for vigilance while on the water and demonstrated a number of modern safety devices including life jacket and EPIRB. A fascinating and timely talk - many thanks David

Andrew Smith is General Manager / CEO / Senior Instructor at the Airport. Serving as both Central Coast Aero Club manager and senior instructor, Andrew has a heart in the clouds, but a head fi...rmly focused on developing the highest standards of flight instruction at the CCAC and across the Australian aviation industry. Despite qualifying for the Air Transport Pilot’s Licence required for a career in the airlines, Andrew chose to pursue his passion to foster high levels of professionalism and competency among instructors, which he achieves in his CCAC roles and as president of the Australian Association of Flight Instructors. Andrew spoke passionately of the recent legislative interactions with the community and Council. He talked of his deep experience in flight training and aviation history.
