This production opened to a sold out three week run, and was met by standing ovations at every performance! 10.01.2022 GOSFORD MUSICAL SOCIETY UPDATE At our most recent Committee meeting, on Tuesday 14th July, it was decided that it will not be possible for us to undertake any further productions for the remainder of 2020. This included the proposed return production of Mamma Mia! as was hoped to be for October/November this year. Gosford Musical Society has, in these unprecedented times, had to make this very difficult decision and was not taken lightly. ... We have also had to cancel our production of Back to the 80s for the Juniors which was proposed for early January 2021. Again, the problems with producing another production have become insurmountable. Regrettably, with the increasing spread of COVID-19, the current difficulties we face include management of the rehearsal space with social distancing, marketing/promotions, time restraints with ticketing, and the requirements of Laycock Street Community Theatre. We unfortunately cannot currently see a clear way to run productions. As always, our primary concern is for our members and the health, safety and welfare of everyone. We therefore feel that the risk is too great. Gosford Musical Society would like to thank Laycock Street Community Theatre Management and staff for their continued support and assistance during these difficult times.
