23.01.2022 FURTHER UPDATE FOR VISITORS | As the Northern Beaches cluster continues to spread, we have further updated our Visitor Restrictions, to include: - Only the patient’s partner and one support person may attend the birth - Maternity Visitors will be restricted to partners and siblings only - Siblings may visit during ‘Siblings Visiting Hour’ from 9:30am 10:30am daily. All siblings must be accompanied by their parent/carer and will be met in the Main Reception and escorted to t...he Ward - The Special Care Nursery is restricted to partners only - All Visitors are to supply and wear their own masks at all times whilst in the hospital - No patients or visitors who reside in the Northern Beaches LGA (or who have been to hotspots) will be admitted or allowed on site except in the case of an emergency or where surgery cannot be delayed - All visitors (including essential contractors or representatives) will be screened at entry to the hospital before access is granted to the hospital. This includes recording your temperature. If your temperature is over 37.5C you are not permitted to enter the hospital Further restrictions are also in place for Gosford Private Hospital. 09.01.2022 Meet parents Michelle and Lachlan from Point Clare who were the last family to give birth in our original unit to their gorgeous daughter Daisy Eleanor Florence. Daisy was born at 37 weeks and is officially our very first guest into our new world class, level 2 Special Care Nursery. Daisy was born under the care of skilled Obstetrician Dr Peta Skilbeck and Michelle said they felt part of the family at Gosford Private Maternity Services. And this delectable delivery is especially sweet as it's from one of our first families to be discharged from our brand new postnatal ward. Thanks Madhu & Hriddhi for starting your daughter Eliana Eva's life with us! They met with our skilled Paediatric specialist Dr Pippa Birkin who gave them the green light to leave and start their new life as a brand new family. Madhu shared that he and his wife loved the whole experien...ce. "Unfortunately we are on our own here and don't have any family nearby, so the maternity team have been like a home away from home," he said. "They just all care so much about making you feel at home and supported according to your own wants and needs. "We had a special song - 'smoke on water by Deep Purple', that meant a lot to us as it's the one song that would make Eliana kick inside Hriddhi's belly. "To have that being played during her caesarean birth was just magical for us."
