25.01.2022 Daylight saving time ends this weekend!

13.01.2022 Regrettably, this means that masks must be worn by the congregation during Paschal Matins on the evening of Friday 7 May and Divine Liturgy on the morning of Saturday 8 May. We do still have a small number of masks at church.

13.01.2022 Please note that NSW Public Health Orders now require worshippers to wear masks at these services.

13.01.2022 Our long-term parishioner, local artist Katerina Rubbo, currently has an exhibition of her watercolours and pastels of flowers at the Christian Meditation Centre in Avoca Beach. The works are inspired by the flora of the Central Coast. The exhibition also includes iconographic work and poetry. The Christian Meditation Centre is a not-for-profit community-based initiative. It can be found at 1/177 Avoca Drive, Avoca Beach. Katerina will be there from 10am-1pm on weekdays until the end of November. Please call in!

11.01.2022 Beautiful new vestments for our venerable protodeacon, Father Martin Naef. The icons on the orarion are, clockwise from top left, Protomartyr and Archdeacon Stephen, deacon and hymnographer Saint Romanos the Melodist, parish patron Great-Martyr Panteleimon, and Father Martin's patron Venerable Martin of Tours. The vestments are the work of Saint Elisabeth Convent in Minsk, Belarus. We plan to read the prayers of blessing over them at our next Sunday service.

07.01.2022 We also received as a gift from the sisters of Saint Elisabeth Convent ten communion cloths with beautiful gold embroidery. Four for this parish, four for Saint Panteleimon's in Gosford, and two for the Mid North Coast mission!

07.01.2022 Patriarch Kirill Under Quarantine After Contact with COVID-Infected Person Patriarch Kirill explains in his letter to His Grace Bishop Thomas of Sergiev Posad, ...the abbot of the monastery: It is with the deepest regret that I would like to attest that I cannot share in the joy of prayerful communion with all of you this time. This is because of my recent contacts with a person who was found to have the coronavirus infection. The time for my personal quarantine required by medical regulations has not yet expired. I consider it impossible to expose all of you to the danger of infection. But, bearing in mind that there are no borders or distances for prayer, I spiritually rejoice in this celebration and together with all of you I offer prayers to St. Sergius. I know how great is the power of conciliar prayer, and I firmly hope for his intercession before the throne of God, the Patriarch added. The current pandemic is an opportunity to deepen our spiritual lives and be convinced of the power of prayer, the Russian primate exhorted. https://www.pravmir.com/patriarch-kirill-under-quarantine-/
