25.01.2022 Following our recent project for Kempsey Shire Council at the Stuarts Point Holiday Park, we were asked to work on the refurbishment of the Stuarts Point Reservoir, which stores treated water from 3 local bores ready for distribution throughout the region. The scope, completed this week, included the installation of a new 3 phase pole substation and underground cable to supply power to a freshly-installed switchboard. Located approximately 40km east of Kempsey, the water supp...ly scheme serves approximately 1000 residents in Stuarts Point, Fisherman’s Reach, Grassy Head, and surrounding coastal areas. However, during the holiday and events season, the population of this popular destination can increase by up to 300%. Let’s raise a glass to their health! #level1asp #level1underground ##kempseynsw #stuartspoint

25.01.2022 The scope for this project involved overhead and underground reticulation for Stage 1 of a 2 lot subdivision in Bonville. The generous feedback came as an added bonus! #level1asp #level1overhead #level1underground #clienttestimonial

23.01.2022 There is no question that overhead electrical cables can impinge upon the landscape, and create maintenance issues well into the future. It’s certainly something to bear in mind when developing a site or undertaking extensions. Following the initial electrical design in April, the construction work at the Coffs Harbour Christian Community School, located in Bonville, commenced last week. The project called for the transfer of overhead cables to underground, the removal of p...oles from the front of the school, and the installation of a padmount substation carefully obscured from view. The school has been in operation since 1981. It provides a curriculum that aims to shape a world view from a faith-based perspective. And it comes with it’s own equestrian centre. Giddy-up! #level1asp #level1underground #level1overhead #level3design #chccs

22.01.2022 With Grafton and surrounds powering ahead following the new bridge and highway bypass, the adjacent area of Clarenza is starting to look attractive for new dwellings with matching lifestyle. This year, we’ve had a crew continuing on with Stage 2 of the subdivision at the Merton Brook Estate, off Big River Way. This follows our work on Stage 1 back in 2018. The scope here at Clarenza includes installation of Level 1 underground power installation, plus telecommunications pit a...nd pipe. All ready for the scheduled outage in 2 weeks time. #level1underground #level1asp #clarenza #mertonbrookestate

22.01.2022 Matt was recently interviewed by Transport for NSW as part of a works update on the Coffs Harbour Bypass. 21.01.2022 Sometimes a project calls for more hands on deck. And so it was last week with the culmination of the work at Tamworth Public School, following the initial groundworks in early August. Tasked with completing before the school holiday break, the client, O’Donnell & Hanlon, was rapt after an extended crew along with the GE vehicle fleet, signed off on time after the scheduled outage last Saturday. The scope, as part of an $11 million major upgrade for NSW Public Works, included... Level 1 high and low voltage reticulation, with full street upgrade of power poles and wires, along with the installation of a new padmount substation. #tamworthpublicschool #odonnellandhanlon #nswpublicworks #level1asp See more

16.01.2022 Expanding operations means building extensions along with the need for increased power. With this in mind, one of our crews was at The Provedores in Toormina last week, digging trenches to relocate overhead cables and the installation of high voltage cabling. Pictured here are Harry and Brendan securing the earthing to the concrete culvert installed below ground to support the new padmount transformer required for the additional development. As a food wholesaler the Provedor...es is a local success story, sourcing well-known brands and independent artisan produce to supply outlets from the Northern Rivers down to the Hunter Valley. Just in time for the season of goodwill and good food! #level1asp #padmounttransformer #theprovedores

15.01.2022 Every electrical construction project stipulates a safety audit to ensure network compliance, and that’s where David comes in. After an extensive resume working with Essential Energy, and specialising in faults and emergencies, he comes equipped and ready, in his own words, to ’turn up and get things done.’ Hailing from Grafton means David has intimate knowledge of all the local bush tracks through which to steer his trusty 4WD, and the best spots to enjoy some camping and f...ishing with the fam. Otherwise, his energy is devoted to coaching his son’s junior rugby league team, and hopping into some vintage heavy metal. Rock on! #electricalsafetyaudit #level1asp #heavymetal

13.01.2022 Congratulations to Brad for winning the Mobicool Esky at the local CNW Electrical Big One get-together last week. And we're still in the running to win the vehicle wrap to the value of $2000! @cnwelectrical @clipsaltrade #TheBigOne #WrapEmUp

06.01.2022 This week Chris is back onsite working out west on the Tamworth Primary School project. And last week it was installing lighting for the new Pacific Highway upgrades a few hours north of the Coffs Harbour HQ. Being a triple-qualified Leading Hand on the crew means he is often away from his family for extended lengths of time. It’s all part of the job helping to get GE’s clients hooked up to the power grid right on schedule. Back on home turf, Chris loves to hit the trail on h...is mountain bike, and hang out with his young and growing family. Life is full, but good. #level1asp #familytime

04.01.2022 Within earshot of the Pacific Highway lies the region of Halfway Creek, around 60 km north of Coffs Harbour. It is here that one of our crews this week installed a single-phase pole substation for a farmer looking to power a new pump and expand his blueberry farm. The Halfway Creek area is a haven for commercial horticulture, with avocados, bananas, berries, macadamias, and veggies, all grown locally within the area.... #level1asp #halfwaycreek #localfarmers See more

04.01.2022 This week we had a crew back in Yamba installing a new pole and sub-transformer, to supply additional power to new units being built at the Moby Dick Waterfront Resort Motel. Working in such an amazing location, on the banks of the Clarence River with views out to the Yamba Marina, has to be one of the highlights of the job, even during winter! #level1asp #level1underground #yambansw #mobydickwaterfrontresortmotel #winterdays

03.01.2022 Following our recent installs of 3 EV (Electric Vehicle) charging stations in Nabiac, Gunnedah, and Grafton, the GE crew this week travelled to Armidale to install one more outside the Visitor’s Information Centre in Marsh Street. The scope here involved a Level 1 changeover substation to handle the extra load, plus complete Level 2 connections. With an eye to the future, and to help facilitate confident travel along most major NSW highways, the NRMA to date have installed 3...8 EV fast chargers across the state’s network, with a further 20 planned for regional centres. Motor on! For further details: https://www.mynrma.com.au//ele/future/powering-the-regions #level1asp #level1overhead #level2 #ev #electricvehiclechargingstation

02.01.2022 By day, a new set of fauna poles are installed spanning 6 lanes of the old and new Pacific Highway. By night, high above the traffic below, possums and gliders start their perilous journey across the rope ladders to safety, helping to minimise the dangers to them and drivers alike. More information about fauna crossings can be found here: https://faunacrossing.com.au... #faunacrossings #ropeladders #faunapoleinstallation #wildlifesafety
