17.01.2022 A big welcome to Faustina, Lucas, Harrison, Cruize and Mini Lee who have all joined as junior members in the last week. Our junior numbers are growing at such a rate we hope to reach 100 in the not too distant future, a number we are pretty proud about! Today the above new juniors were a part of 26 playing in our modified rules series of 5 and 9 hole Tiger Tees and Modified Stroke. We also had another 16 of our older juniors playing in the 18 hole Junior Competition to make it a busy afternoon at the club. As always we were honored to have Luan Wrights family present to assist in celebrating your victories and presenting you with the trophies in Luans memory. Gosnells own Jayden Fong and Halia Edwards (who is no 1 ticket holder of the @hannahgreengolf fan club) took out the boys and girls nett p...rizes. 12.01.2022 Junior golf is continuing to grow at @gosnellsgolfclub as we held our first 5 and 9 hole Tiger Tees and Modified Stroke event today for our youngest players, with a great turnout of 41 players. It was great to see the smiling faces and also a few Personal Best Awards handed out. We hope to see you all back for our next event. With @golfwestaust @cobrapumagolfau Junior Championships on over the next 2 days, we had a smaller than normal 14 juniors playing in our 18 hole junior ...competition today, well done to young 8 year old Halia Edwards for scoring a great 43 points. 08.01.2022 As some members may be aware, we have been in discussions recently with the City of Gosnells regarding our driving range. The City have received complaints from our neighbours regarding errant golf balls leaving the driving range and landing on properties on Rufford Lane and as a result, despite our best efforts, we have been forced to make adjustments to the driving range, with immediate effect. From today, Friday 20th November Members will notice that the teeing area has ...been angled slightly to the left - to aid in avoiding balls hitting the trees on the right hand side and landing outside of the driving range where they can bounce through the car park and potentially land in gardens and set backs on Rufford Lane. In addition, members are asked to use ONLY IRONS when utilising the practice facilities and ensuring that balls do not land past the white sign located at the back of the range. Our relationship with the neighbour at the back of the range is fantastic, we want to ensure it remains that way! Maddie shot 64- 72 over the weekend to finish at 10-under overall and seperate herself from a quality amateur field. Maddy and other young women are breaking down barriers at club, state and national levels, she is the first ever female winner of the Royal Fremantle Amateur Open.
