17.01.2022 MONDAY MOTIVATION: Sometimes meals take a little longer to prepare. Sometimes you have to get up a little earlier. But the all the time you spend on a healthier lifestyle is time well spent.

16.01.2022 Do you get sugar cravings or clouded by brain fog mid-afternoon? Or do you get hangry if its been a little longer than normal between meals? When youre experiencing any of these emotions , it may be tempting (or habit) to reach for unhealthy, junk food items like chocolate biscuits or the nutella jar. However, in reality, these high calorie, often sugary foods are very unlikely to improve your spirits nor help keep bad moods at bay. Read more about good mood foods here: http://ow.ly/pEtn50Af6Z3

15.01.2022 So, you want to start a new diet? Have you considered the science behind it? Is it right for your body? The article below clarifies some of the "trending" diets around. 14.01.2022 October is Pizza Month! Enjoy pizza, guilt free, with these top tips: If you are making the pizza base from scratch, consider using wholemeal flour to increase the fibre. Wholemeal flour has up to 3 times more fibre than white flour! Choose a thin base/crust. When selecting cheese for a topping, opt for low fat cheese or choose one that is full of flavor like parmesan which you will likely use less of. ... Load up on non-starchy vegetables for topping options such as capsicum, mushrooms, spinach, tomato, pumpkin and zucchini. This is a good way to use up veggies in the fridge! Choose lean meats. Consider grilled chicken, lean beef and lamb or barbequed seafood. Try to avoid processed meats such as pepperoni, salami or streaky bacon. These are not only high in sodium but can increase the amount of saturated fat. Add some flavor! Instead of overloading on cheese for flavor, consider adding garlic, chili or herbs such as basil instead. Share a pizza with a friend and add a side salad to fill you up! See more

06.01.2022 Living a healthy life is all about balancing kilojoules in and kilojoules out. Exercise is a part of that balance, but that doesnt mean you need to be hitting the gym for hours on end, if that isnt your thing. Incidental exercise is any physical activity that is built up during the day; from walking to the bus to vacuuming. Focusing on ways to increase your incidental activity each day is an easy way to increase your exercise quota and keep your metabolism going, without co...mmitting to a brand new fitness regime. Try these easy, sustainable not-really-exercise exercises to get you moving: - Taking the stairs, - Park your car further away from your destination and walk, - Carrying your shopping, - Cleaning the house, - Gardening.
