24.01.2022 Did you know that the Ugg boot was originally a generic term used in Australia but was then Trade Marked by US company Deckers who then took legal action against Australian companies using the term? They lost. In Australia and New Zealand anyone can use the term Ugg. Happy Friday everyone- enjoy your uggies :-)

Other brand names that have now become generic terms are: "E-mail"; "petrol"; "trampoiline"; and even "heroin".

So he changed the name a bit and got the Trade Mark- his website is now known as eBay. :-)
