24.01.2022 UPDATED 31/07/20 - additional locations, see second photo QLD PUBLIC HEALTH ALERT - 29 July 2020: As you will no doubt be aware, Queensland Health has confirmed three positive COVID-19 cases on the southside of Brisbane in the past 24 hours. It is understood that these cases have been active in the wider community for up to eight days and extensive contact tracing is currently underway by Queensland Health. ... As a precautionary measure, Queensland Health requires anyone who was present at the below locations (see attached pic) at the relevant times to immediately self-quarantine and contact 13HEALTH. Additionally if you live in the areas of Logan, South Brisbane or Springfield and are feeling unwell, please stay home and contact your GP or 13HEALTH to arrange immediate testing for COVID-19. 21.01.2022 CLASSES CANCELLED - Mon 3rd & 10th, Wed 5th August Hi all, we regret to advise that due to the recent COVID cases and possible community transmission on Brisbane’s south side we have decided, along with our venue, to suspend classes for the above dates at the moment until we see how the situation pans out. We hold the safety of our students and staff as the highest priority and know that you will understand this decision we have made at this time and look forward to your supp...ort again in the future when we are able to make the decision to return with gusto. 21.01.2022 Hi all, class is back on tonight at Salisbury, however, due to the current mask mandate in Qld it is mandatory to wear a mask indoors, including for dancing. This ruling is in effect until midday Thursday 15 April. What does this mean for us? You will need to wear your mask when entering the building, checking in, having a chat, having a break, during dance class and leaving the building.... The Qld Health website states masks must be worn while dancing indoors (eg at weddings...see FAQ on website below) and in an indoor recreational facility or gym, unless doing strenuous exercise which they define as exercise in and above the aerobic zone such as high intensity interval training, running or cycling. Since our classes do not necessarily fit into that category we will need to wear masks while dancing unless you are physically puffed and out of breath and the mask inhibits your breathing or you have a lawful reason that prevents you from wearing a mask. https://www.qld.gov.au//coronavirus-covid-19/pr/face-masks Please remember to wash or sanitise on entry and exit and throughout the class and do not attend class if you feel at all unwell. I writing to let you all know that class will be canceled tonight due to myself fighting bronchitis (razor blade throat) since last Wednesday. I've been and had COVID test all negative. I am on the mend however the coughing fit that I have can certainly make people uncomfortable. I will let you all know about next week I'm sure we'll be back then.
