Olly never leaves her side and they play 24/7 and she really gives it back to him haha. Lilly still loves her food and has put a little more weight on. In the last week or so at 5:30 am half an hour before my alarm clock goes off, she comes up on the bed and rubs herself against me till I wake up and pat her lol. She has finally started to play with toys as well. And like Olly she loves all the pin pong ball I have around the house Just bats them and chases them. Thank you again for the most special girl. 20.01.2022 Adoption Update :) Letter from Oscar. Hey guys, ... Thanks heaps for helping me find my furever home! Its really cool out here in Wollongong, I have won over one of my furry housemates but the fluffy one is gruuumpy, don't know what his problem is, I just wanna play!!! Silly old man Mum takes me lots of different places! I'm very spoilt, most of the time I get to go for two walks a day and i have sooooo many different toys! On rainy days i get to go to work mum says I might be able to go more in the winter when there aren't so many ticks around. I'm a brave boy and went crashing through the waves on my first trip to the beach. I have met lots of other dogs on my travels and just love them all, I'm really good at choosing who to play with... and who not to. I'm just a big sook and want everyone to pay attention and snuggle me. I love to collect shoes, sometimes I score a few pairs when the humans forget to put them up, I never chew them! Well... most of the time I don't. Id love to know how my sister (Emmy) is going! Anyways I have a nap scheduled right now. Mum said she would send some photos to! Thanks again! Sam & Oscar

20.01.2022 ADOPTION UPDATE ***Squizzy*** You all may remember scared little Squizzy, she was surrendered to the Animal Shelter 6 months ago. This little girl was very timid and not keen on anybody but the shelter staff. Squizzy definitely picked her forever humans. ... Whenever a potential adoptee would come to meet Squizzy at the Shelter, she would hide behind the Shelter staff and be too scared to meet anyone. It was decided that whoever Squizzy was comfortable with and come out from hiding for, this would be her new humans. It happened to be a beautiful little boy who Squizzy chose. Both the little boy and Squizzy were inseparable from the start, the bond was instant and still is. As you can see, she has come along way for the scared little girl she was, her confidence has grown and she is a loving, happy girl in her new forever home. Video in the comments :) Thank you Squizzy's family for the update. We love to see our past residents enjoying life with their new forever families.

17.01.2022 In October this year, Council conducted an audit of the Companion Animal Register, which is in line with its regulatory requirements through the Office of Local Government. The audit revealed that a high percentage of dogs and cats in our community are not registered. It also revealed that a number of cats in our community were not desexed by 4 months of age, which requires their owners to have an annual permit for them. As a result 6,000 letters have been generated and Coun...cil has already commenced a bulk mail out to the relevant pet owners, advising them of their obligations as responsible pet owners. Following commencement of the bulk mail out, on 20 November 2020 Council was advised by the Office of Local Government that they made further changes in relation to the annual permits that came into effect from 1 July 2020 for non-desexed cats and cats not desexed by 4 months of age. These changes are: If your cat was desexed by 1 July 2020 a permit is NOT required. The lifetime registration fee of $50.00 (for cats) is still required and needs to be paid by the due date on the letter you have received. Cats that were desexed after the 1st of July 2020 and over 4 months of age are required to pay a one off permit fee of $80 + $50 lifetime registration fee. Please note: microchipping is not registration. Microchips are for identification purposes only and registration is a state requirement fee that registers the animal for its lifetime. Council look forward to working with the community to ensure responsible pet ownership and thank you for your patience and understanding during this process.

17.01.2022 DID YOU KNOW? If you desex your dog BEFORE 6 months of age, you are eligible for the $60 registration fee. If you desex your dog AFTER 6 months of age, the registration fee is $216. Please note: Microchipping and Registration are two different things;... Microchip - is implanted beneath the animals skin between the shoulders. All dogs & cats must be microchipped by 12 weeks of age or being sold or given away, whichever happens first. Registration - All cats & dogs must be registered by 6 months of age. This is a once-only payment, which covers the cat or dog for its lifetime in NSW, regardless of any change in ownership.
