12.01.2022 G'day all, my names Andrew Cox and I live on the water at Nagambie. Friday (12 may) night at Kirwans Bridge angling club there was a community meeting to discuss the Goulburn Murray Water price rises on privately owned boat ramps and jetties and other facilities. After some discussions on known truths and individual interactions with GMW it was realised its not only our portion of the catchment that may be burdened by the proposed new levies.... We are seeking all land holders who have GMW /DELWP easements adjacent to their property that own jetties, boat ramps, 'entertainment areas', underground watering systems on that easement, retaining walls, foot paths or any other artificial addition to the natural environment. We'd like to create a united voice (from Yarrawonga to Eildon to Rushworth and everywhere in between) against this GMW cash grab and facilitate a proper consultation process and a fairer, longer-term agreement with all stakeholders.
