11.01.2022 GET TO KNOW YOUR COMMITTEE As we all know, COVID-19 has rocked the local sporting community and changed the way we operate and participate. What you may not know about however are the hours of planning and preparation which the Goulburn Campaspe Junior Football League Executive Committee are putting in to ensure that our 2020 season hits the ground.... This week we're profiling our wonderful volunteers who make up the GCJFL Executive, because well, we just want to say thanks for all their hard work. So next time you're at a game and you see their smiling faces, be sure to say hi! Chris Thomas, GCJFL Chairman Year that you joined the GCJFL Executive: 2020 Before joining the Executive, what was your involvement in junior Football: Prior to 1998 I was involved for several years in junior coaching and administration in country South Australia. After moving to Victoria I became involved with the GCJFL from 1999 to 2004 and I have also had 10 years of coaching and administration with the Echuca Junior Football Club. In addition to this I volunteered my time with the Shepparton District Junior Football League from 2005 to 2016, which included 7 years as President of the competition. Why did you decide to join the League Executive: I wanted to support the continued future development of junior Football in the region and continue to empower juniors to play Football. When you're not busy supporting the GCJFL, what can you be found doing: I am highly passionate about supporting the farming community through my work within the dairy industry, while playing a keen hand in helping the sporting endeavors of the next generation of my family at home. I'm also constantly gearing up for my next annual marathon!

05.01.2022 GCJFL SECURES NAMING RIGHTS PARTNER The Goulburn Campaspe Junior Football League are excited to announce a new two-year naming rights partnership with small business lender, Finstro. Finstro have a strong commitment to the small business sector, reiterated through their support of businesses across the state during the COVID-19 health crisis. This has again been shown by their generous partnership to the GCJFL, which will help to ensure we also see the other side of these ch...allenging times. Goulburn Campaspe Junior Football League Operations Manager, Nate Dedman, said: The partnership is a clear sign that both parties have the local communities’ best interests at heart whilst ensuring the viability of the GCJFL moving forward. Uncertainty has been a word commonly associated with small regional business and rural sporting competitions over the past five months. Finstro have been working hard to lend a helping hand during this time, supporting businesses who need access to tailored, simple and flexible funding. From the moment we were approached by Finstro we were immediately impressed with their concern for the local community, including our junior competitions. We look forward to maximising this partnership and ensuring the long-term success of the competition.
