23.01.2022 Watch the team at Goulburn River Trout as they begin the amazing process of the 2016 season of trout spawning. This clip shows the breeding phase of the process, performed each year around the winter solstice, triggered by photo period (day length), for approximately 6-8 weeks. Here the eggs are stripped and fertilised. Look out for subsequent videos where we show how our babies are coming along as they are moved into their nursery troughs as eyed eggs, to fry and beyond.
