Russian Conversation Refresher 5 weeks Wednesday 10 March 6-7 pm $225 ( will suit those who can already converse in Russian). "Другие" textbook is used for this class. Only 3 spots remaining! Continuing Russian Refresher 5 weeks- Wednesday 10 March 7-8 pm $225 ( will suit those with some knowledge of grammar and ability to converse in Russian now or in the past). "Другие" textbook is used for this class. Only 2 spots remaining! Beginner Russian 5 weeks - Thursday 11 March 6-7 pm $250 ( a complete beginner course, which includes learning the Cyrrilic Russian alphabet and basic conversational skills.) No textbook required. Beginner Russian Refresher 5 weeks - Thursday 11 March 7 -8 pm $ 225 (will suit those who took a beginner course or travelled to a Russian-speaking country, "a long time ago" counts too) "Другие" textbook is used for this class. 12.01.2022 Dear Students and anyone else who is interested, There is an opportunity next Sunday the 1st at 3PM (http://www.palacecinemas.com.au/movies/vintagedoctorzhivago/ ) to see the epic 1965 romance. If you are a hard-line Russophile, you may prefer the 2005 Russian version (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0417319/) starring Oleg Menshikov and Chulpan Khamatova; if you don't mind seeing a great work of art reduced to a vehicle for a fatuous bath scene, then you... can try the 2002 version, where Keira Knightley's body is more important than Zhivago's experiences. The 1965 version is a great movie, as long as you have some extra cultural context. It would be interested to hear anyone's thoughts on whether the movie captures very much of the novel, or whether it should be judged as a loose adaptation in its own right. If you have never seen it in a cinema, you should.

I hope you had fun and enjoyed the pirozhki (пирожки), and don't think you will be locked in the library until you know the Cyrillic alphabet :) So last night, when I locked the people from the continuing group in there, was a mistake.
