Teaching kids to love and appreciate the environment are necessary building blocks to a sustainable future. Start with what's in your back yard, you'll be amazed what they can find. 21.01.2022 Arggggh I'm late to post again! Sorry!!!! Anyways we are open from 9til 12 today! So Q, Q is fur Quorum! We need a full committee Quorum to keep open! Many committee members are standing aside this AGM (probably something to do with the bumbling Toy Librarian ). Soooo please, don't be shy! Its not a hard gig and pretty darn fun!!!... 21.01.2022 Howdy All. Our AGM is scheduled for 9am Saturday 14th November at the Toy Library. Our services will be closed on that morning until a full committee is secured. All positions are open for grabs. We need you dear members to keep our services running. It's not a hard committee to be part of, generally a monthly meeting to discuss the running of the TL and what improvements we need to make. But we do need you to make it work! Volunteer contribution in small towns we find ourse...lves in is so important, just a little time commitment can make all the difference. Keep in mind YOU can add value to any club or organisation with fresh ideas. If we are unable to get a committee together we won't be able to open. Regards Current Gove Toy Library Committee. 19.01.2022 Morning Good Members! We are open from 9 to 12 today! Continuing our alphabet theme with 2 sets from our collection, because I couldn't bloody decide which one I prefer!... Anyways..... H is for Horse. There ain't no horse for a good 100 odd ks, so this beautiful schleich set should keep any little horse enthusiast happy..... and a darn site cheaper to run (trust me!!!). There's an old saying about getting your kids interested in horses from a young age as theoretically if they keep the obsession up they will have no money for drugs in their adoloesence. H is also for Hospital with Helipad. This is a cute old set which I love. Incidentally it can be combined with the horse set as in my family horses have actually been closely linked to hospital visits. See you soon! Xx

18.01.2022 How's your July going? Already this week I've managed to lose my son's skateboard and this morning, melt the base of the kettle onto one of the stovetop burners. WINNING! 18.01.2022 Good morning on this beautiful rainy day! So loving this wet season! Anyway having a dig through some of the baby toys this AM, so many hidden gems. I love this set! My 3 year old had it out recently and had heaps of fun with the wee self propelling vehicles. See you before 12. Xx

17.01.2022 Good Morning!!!! For those not at beach volleyball dodging the crocs come on down to the TL between 9 and 12. By the way G is for Green Toys. These are fabulous. Some of them have been in our collection for a really long time and sure have stood the test of time! How beautiful are the colours!? They are also made from recycled plastic plastic and pretty bloody sturdy. See you soon. Xx

17.01.2022 Morning All ACCESS IS THROUGH PLAYGROUP THIS MORNING as concrete is being poured for a new ramp at our main entry, proper fancy and about time the building had wheelchair access! Great job 4Cs! Open from 10 til 12.... R is for Range. As you know dear members, we have a huge range of toys. Toy libraries are amazing for many reasons and with Christmas fast approaching trying out items before you buy them is sensible, we can definitely help here. Why not also consider gifting a loved one with small kids (either here in Gove or elsewhere) with a membership to a Toy Library? After all the cost for membership is less than what you can spend on a singular toy. Forget the boxing day sales it's a bloody bargain! And for those with an environmental conscious more sustainable too!! See you soon Xx

14.01.2022 Morning All! We are open......no fancy roadside flag out as I didn't want to get it wet..... you know what it's like with new stuff. Anyways speaking of rain. Need to keep your 8+ year old entertained during this beautiful late wet season weather? Check out these Think fun games! It's all logic here folks......I had to use the cheat cards to solve even the basics but boy, once you get the hang of it these games are bloody addictive. I like them because they can absorb a kids... attention and teach them basic problem solving skills. We have a range of these Think fun games that are frequently on loan. Come on down and snap up one or both of these. See you before 12. Cc

This game is Fab...... a great test of patience, coordination and team work. The aim is to try and load as many wooden figures on to a seesaw like beam without tipping the buggers off. Great fun!... 10.01.2022 Howdy All I....hmmm how do I make this work?...I was going to say I is for really annoying Ice cream cart that has just arrived and waiting to be unpacked (omg it is horribly tacky....but the kids are going to LOVE IT!!!!) Anyways where was I....I is for Insanely awesome new Go Carts!!! I have been waiting months for these bad boys! They are so well made and turn on a dime. Love them!!! Please note however they are not suitable for riding down hills. Thank you so much Shonane Beasley from the Walkabout for allowing us to use space on your shipping container, without your kindness the cost to get these from Perth would have been too much for us to afford. Thank you!!!!!!

09.01.2022 Good morning! We are OPEN TODAY from 10-12. Please access the toy library via Playgroup's entrance, located to the rear of the building (to the left of our usual entrance). We'll be CLOSED SATURDAY 11 JULY but open again from next Wednesday. Our thanks to Playgroup for allowing us this access during current building works! We ask that you please respect their space during this time and if your children do play in the outside area, please wipe down any items they have played ...with and return them to where they belong before leaving. 07.01.2022 Good morning fabulous members! Sue stepping in for Bridget today who has an unwell poppet at home. I figured I’d continue the theme so P is for Playmobil!! How cute is this little set? Ah Playmobil, sets the heart of all toy library workers and parents racing. So many small pieces! So much to look for!! But seriously folks, we are pretty understanding that small bits can go astray now and then - and often they find their way back to us after some time As long as the key bits are there, we are good to go!! And Playmobil sets are so good for imaginative play. Enjoy

03.01.2022 Good morning Toy Library Members!!! So I've decided to try and complete a photo theme for each opening: 'The ABC of the Toy Library Collection'. So let's start with A for Animals. ... How original Bridget! Anyways these are great for imagination play. My youngest will sit in his room for ages chatting away to figurines, I often spy on him whilst he is doing this instead of attempting housework because it's so darn cute!
