23.01.2022 COVID-19 UPDATE 10 April Hi everyone, Just a quick update. ... We are seeking advice from NT health department and anticipate we will get a response next week. In the meantime, we have made limitations to boat hires: - members of the same household; or - solo operators Unfortunately this means we will no longer allow 2 people who do not reside together in the same boat. We thank you for your understanding and patience as we try to navigate conflicting information and abide by state and federal regulations. Once we receive a response from the gov next week we will give you a further update. Just to clarify, members of the same household can fish together, but if you do not reside together then you must fish solo. Thank you, GBH

15.01.2022 Well it’s been a while since we last posted. We’d like to share a new addition to the Gove Boat Hire family. A big welcome to our latest purchase our boat called TUNA. She’s a 4.5m PolyCraft with a 40HP Yammy This boat coming soon for hire and will have all the usual: Nav lights Bimini ... Bilge pump Lowrance full map sounder Interior light And all safety gear. 14.01.2022 Gove Boat Hire is going to a bigger boat so we are selling one of them This boat is a 3.75m Quintrex Dart powered by a 15ph 2 stroke Suzuki. The Suzi starts half pull every time and runs like a dream. Comes with full safety gear, bilge pump, nav lights, interior light and Garman sounder/GPS as well as a Bimini. It also has anti swamp stability and very stable in the water. Trailer is registered with spare wheel. Priced at $4,500 firm. We have dropped the price! 10.01.2022 COVID-19: Gove Boat Hire & the Nhulunbuy Community This is a really tricky time for locals and businesses alike. In a small town like Nhulunbuy, it is so important that our community bands together and supports one another. We are pretty lucky to be in a town like this! Gove Boat Hire want to ensure that during this time, the locals still have an opportunity to go out on the water, catch some fish and have fun with mates. We will be offering 50% discount on ALL half day an...d full day hires for our boats, and 50% off bond! This means if you would like to take social distancing to a new level, get out of the house and go fishing, you can enjoy it at a great rate. Barra is now $95 a day! Mangrove Jack is now $112.50 a day! Red Emperor and Cobia are now $125 a day! Not to mention, we will cover the cost of the fuel used! These specials will continue until the travel restrictions are lifted on the Central Arnhem Highway and when visitor permits are granted again. We love this town, we love fishing we want you to be able to continue getting the most out of our beautiful scenery during this difficult time. 10.01.2022 COVID-19: Gove Boat Hire update We at Gove Boat Hire are implementing some changes to align with the Federal and State government guidelines in regards to COVID-19 and social distancing. Barra, Mangrove Jack and Red Emperor will now have a limit of 2 people per boat. Cobia will have a limit of 3 people per boat for those that don’t reside together.... For those that do i.e. families no change to the maximum allowable on that boat. This is to comply with social distancing protocols. Boats, life jackets rods etc are thoroughly cleaned as per COVID-19 guidelines after each hire. (which we already had in place as per our risk management plan) We suggest if possible if you have your own fishing rods, tackle boxes, eskies etc to use your own but if you don’t have these, we can provide these for you. These are also thoroughly cleaned after each hire. We understand this is a stressful time for the community, and we thank you for being patient and supporting local businesses like us to continue operating. We will continue to serve the community best way we can for those who want to get out in the water who don’t have boats until told otherwise. We will adapt our guidelines as more government advice is provided and as the situation changes.
