23.01.2022 **Tickets still available for next Thursday's Significant Trees Tour** Join local arboriculturalist, Andrew Robert-Tissot. Learn the history behind the plantings of our most established trees, walk amongst Australia’s oldest oak avenue and visit the many ceremonial plantings along the way. The historic Government House garden covers approximately 15ha, our mature trees tower over the landscape providing shelter to the gardens below, are a haven for birdlife and provide stunning colours throughout the year. 20.01.2022 Her Excellency attended the 2021 Sandy Bay Dahlia Show over the weekend. A wonderful event for flower enthusiasts hosted by the Hobart Horticultural Society. Congratulations to our gardener Bettina for winning Champion Novice with her beautiful blooms

09.01.2022 On Sunday 28th March, Her Excellency presented the King’s and Queen’s trophies to the winning teams at the Australian Rowing Championships 2021 at Lake Barrington, and was delighted to witness the Tasmanian Women’s team win the Interstate Lightweight Women’s Quadruple Scull Race in their boat named the Prof Kate Warner .
