22.01.2022 The Government House Foundation of the Northern Territory Inc was formed on 11 December 1998 with the primary objective of conserving and enhancing the resplendent Government House building and in doing so, encourages public interest in this unique and valuable heritage site. The Foundation directly supports the conservation, restoration and enhancement of this unique residence by raising funds, independent of government, to acquire appropriate works of art, antique furnishi...ngs, objets d’art and items of significant historical, cultural and contemporary value. The Foundation promotes the significant historical role of the House so as to enable more Territorians and Australians to participate in its life. Our 21st anniversary will be celebrated with a Gala Dinner on Friday 3 May. 13.01.2022 ANNOUNCEMENT - Government House Foundation 21st Birthday Celebrations It is with regret that the Government House Foundation NT has made the difficult decision that this year's twenty one gala dinner will not be proceeding. The committee have worked tremendously hard at engaging sponsors for the event and promoting tickets sales. Unfortunately to date, and given the current economic climate, this has not been as successful as we would have hoped.... Whilst this outcome is extremely disappointing, we hope to be able to hold another function in the near future. Thank you to those of you have purchased tickets. Kindly donated donated by Lauretta Rid...gers from Readback Aboriginal Art Darwin Pacinta is from the area of UTOPIA and is from a family of renowned artists. Her mother’s auntie is award winning artist Gloria Petyaree and her father is related to another famous artist, Minnie Pwerel. Pacinta’s paintings have been purchased by investors both with in Australia and internationally.
