15.01.2022 Sadly the Governor Phillip Lookout Flagpole has succumbed to the terrible weather affection Sydney. Sad but it's only a flagpole. Our thoughts are with the surrounding residents and those personally affected.

12.01.2022 FYI. We have sent of the insurance claim to replace the flag pole. Warringah Council have said they will help clean up the destroyed pole and dispose of it. Thanks to Warringah. Always helping us out.

10.01.2022 Did you know Governor Phillip Lookout has a military history? Prior to World War 2 it was occupied by the Army and was an integral part of Sydney's coastal defences. It was an observation post that provided range, bearing and other information to the Command HQ and from there to guns along the coast including North Fort at Manly. Attached are some photographs showing the type of radar that was installed at the site during this period. Please be sure to recommend this page to your friends.
