Most business owners I speak to tell me that the biggest struggle they have with their social media marketing is allocating time each week to actually come up with and schedule the content. You need to allocate just 1 hour a week to do a weeks worth of content, or even a few hours for a months worth (which I prefer). There are plenty of programs that enable you to do this, such as Hootsuite which I use.... Of course, the other option is to outsource your social media to me so you don’t have to worry about it at all! [email protected]

20.01.2022 I remember those days...when you could actually go shopping and not spend all your money online from the couch. Funnily enough, this popped up in my newsfeed the other day. A shoot I did a couple of years ago for a shopping centre. Oh, what I would give to go shopping again. Even pretend shopping with empty bags like this would be fine!

15.01.2022 Most of you will know that photos and especially videos get the highest reach on Facebook. So therefore, when sharing a link to an article, some people share a photo and in the caption of that photo, put the link to the article. This article shows how after testing the theory that it isn't actually true and you will get slightly better results if you just post the link and allow it to show the image. ... What do you do? Do you notice a difference in engagement?

15.01.2022 Instagram has recently rolled out Instagram Reels. Have you used the feature? Some call it Instagram's version of TikTok. With video posts, stories, IGTV, lives and now reels, no wonder no one can keep up! Which one do you think performs best?

14.01.2022 These stats! Having a presence on Facebook is SO important. Not so your post reaches thousands of people each day and you get hundreds of "likes"(but of course, this would be nice!). But when your potential client is online looking for your speciality, most of the time they will find you on Facebook first. For me, it is to see the business I am going to buy from is authentic, to see that they are open and active and to have a look at reviews! Websites don't give you the sam...e REAL information as a Facebook page does. It is hard to keep up to momentum and post to Facebook and other social media channels consistently. But it is SO important to "show up" at least weekly. 12.01.2022 Australian's are going through a tough time at the moment. Especially for us in Melbourne who are now in stage 4 restrictions. How is the effecting your daily life? Announcements are going to be made very soon about the restrictions on businesses. Will this affect you and your small business? I'm business as usual here (with remote learning on top!) and most of my clients have online businesses and work from their home office as I do. Which means there is still work for us ...all. My heart goes out to those of you that have to close for the next 6 weeks (and those that had to close in stage 3 and now another 6 weeks!). Are you one of these people? 06.01.2022 I get asked quite often - when is the best time to post to my Facebook/Insta/LinkedIn? I won't know until I can see your social accounts to when your followers are online. This is different for everyone depending on YOUR individual audience.

06.01.2022 At the moment, it's hard to find something that will spark the light in you when you are being isolated from those things and people you love. But I do find that as long as you have a goal each day, or a focus, it makes for a much happier day! What are you going to do over the next few days to spark some joy? Please share!

01.01.2022 Tip Tuesday! I see so many brands/businesses posting 100% of the time about themselves and promoting their products and services. This is NOT what you should be doing on social media. Try and stick to the 20/80 rule. 20% should be about you and your business and 80% should be content that inspires, educates, entertains, and provokes a response that will keep them coming back for more.... Do you follow a rule that works for you?
