Always an incredible tour, our hearts and minds were filled with happiness and adventure everytime we meandered along that beautiful coastal road, everytime we breathed the pure air of the Otway Rainforest, everytime we marvelled at the 12 Apostles and all the other amazing sights! 19.01.2022 In another instalment of our Tourism Heroes, we turn to none another than our fearless leader, Terry! Terry is proud to be working in the Healthcare sector & is currently leading a team in the ongoing fight against Covid-19. Star Health is a lead Community Health provider in Melbourne’s inner southern suburbs and operates a program to assist in keeping Melbourne’s marginalised communities Covid-safe. Since late 2020 Terry has worked as a Coordinator in Community Engagement an...d was recently promoted to the position of Logistics Manager for the High Risk Accommodation Response (HRAR) program. In this role he is instrumental in planning for the setup and operation of a Covid Vaccination Program at the Prahran Town Hall which is expected to vaccinate approximately 4000 people per month from mid-March. Terry and his wife Fiona started Go West in September 2000 and built it from the ground up, providing memorable experiences for travellers, guides, and all staff part of the Go West story. Covid-19 has put Go West tours into hibernation for the time being. After 20 years of being self-employed, it’s great to be able to work with an amazing team and to contribute to helping our nation bring the Covid crisis under control. While our business is in complete hibernation, my role with Star Health gives me a great sense of purpose & a damn good reason to get out of bed in the morning."
