25.01.2022 Great News: our Sunset Whale Watch tours are back in 2021. These depart 3:30pm on weekends from June onwards. Watching the whales play as the sun sets over Sydney is pretty spectacular. Fantastic fun and awesome light for your photos! Just remember to bring a warm jacket, your beanie and scarf. The trip back up the Harbour with the city lights is also amazing

23.01.2022 Sunday Funday! This morning we saw a couple of different pods of mums and calves, all cruising along the Northern Beaches in smooth, calm conditions. Then on our lunchtime trip we found another couple of mum-and-calf pairs, only by that time the southerly had well and truly kicked in and the calves were ready to play! One particular young funster gave us some fantastic inflight entertainment right between Sydney Heads, then afterwards, we found another calf scoring some frequent flyer points off Manly. We lost count of how many splashes we saw this afternoon, but one thing we can all agree on is that calves are just amazing to watch and lucky for us, plenty more of them are on their way! Join us for an adventure! Book direct with us online at www.gowhalewatchingsydney.com.au or give us a bell on (02) 6495 1686.

22.01.2022 Kayaking with humpbacks is pretty good! We watched a few mums and calfs this morning with quite a bouncy chap just off diamond bay. We also watched a few more pods during our midday trip and ended the day with some epic tail slappers. A pretty great start to the weekend ;) Ready for an adventure? 22.01.2022 Looks like the whales were ready to start their long weekend a little early today because they were beautifully relaxed for us, all day long. On both trips we had multiple pods of mums with calves, all cruising along in calm conditions, although our last whales for the day came in very close to say hi a few times! The weekend’s weather forecast looks divine and we’re expecting many more mums and calves to pass by Sydney so why not join us on an adventure? Book direct at www.gowhalewatching.com.au or give us a buzz on (02) 6495 1686.

19.01.2022 Whales in every direction today! The mum and calf on the midday trip almost stole the show with some epic tail action and a few jumps from the young one. But then on the last trip of the day some super close jumps from a lovely humpback that seemed to be going north? another hectic day on the Tasman :) Ready for an adventure? 19.01.2022 Hope that you have all survived the heavy rains of the past week! It has been wonderful to see the sunshine today! We have spent the past few days stuck inside so what better way to pass time than plan for our upcoming whale season. We are super excited to get back offshore and catch up with our whale friends. Who knows what this season has in store for us? Hopefully some jumping adults and a few more flying calves.... some spectacular golden Sydney sunsets.... up close encounters from inquisitive whales .... pec and tail slapping displays .... dolphins, seals, seabirds ...... and more! Whatever the season has in store for us we are looking forward to the opportunity to connect with you again and share the wonderful experience of watching whales together.

17.01.2022 What a super Saturday with jumping humpbacks on both tours today! These wonderful images were supplied by one of our talented and long time regulars and great friend. 17.01.2022 If you are anything like us then right about now you are starting to miss the whales! We went for a swim today at the beach and the ocean does look a little empty without our humpback friends. When we came home we watched a great short documentary about Whales in Antarctica by filmmaker Richard Sidley. It is a timely reminder about the importance of the Antarctic ecosystem for the health of our planet. In October 2021, delegations are considering three new marine protected ar...eas (MPAs) at the Commission for the Conservation of Antarctic Marine Living Resources (CCAMLR) meeting. Together, the East Antarctica, Antarctic Peninsula, and Weddell Sea MPAs would cover approximately four million square kilometers, protecting the vital habitats of whales, penguins, krill, and other Antarctic species. We would encourage you to sign the petition urging world leaders to deliver the largest act of ocean protection in history in Antarctica in 2021. https://only.one/watch/whales-in-a-changing-ocean

16.01.2022 Another crazy morning of mum and calf mayhem! This guy was quiet at first as they made their way back home to the Antarctic and then put on a lovely jumping display as mum and escort kept a close eye on the calf. On the way back to base we spotted a big jump out side the heads and as we went to investigate and were treated to a huge jump from the adult humpback to end a great morning watching this amazing migration The southern migration will be coming to an end mid November so if you are ready for an adventure? Book your trip with us direct at www.gowhalewatchingsydney.com.au or give us a bell on 02 6495 1686

16.01.2022 We managed to capture some video footage from this weekend's humpback's shenanigans. Our photographers are taking a well earned rest today and tomorrow so we hope you enjoy :)

13.01.2022 Rewind A breathtaking day early July 2020 on the Tasman Ocean! This day was a beautiful whale watching day as we observed a couple of Humpbacks make their way to Queensland during the Northern migration and then........ The team at Go Whale Watching hope you all stay safe, happy and healthy during 2021 and will see you all in the coming season which will start mid May this year and will be a wonderful adventure observing these incredible animals.... Details of the coming season will be posted on our website in the coming months as the season gets closer :) https://gowhalewatchingsydney.com.au/

12.01.2022 One of the great things about whale watching from Sydney is the other wildlife we see. Dolphins, seabirds and our favourites the seals under Macquarie Light. Each year there seems to be more that haul out on the rocks to sun themselves. Some days last season we counted over 30! Although they can be hard to spot as when they are sleeping they blend into the rocks Not this trio who posed for the camera

12.01.2022 The whales are on their way Today our sister boat down south saw a whale! She was doing a tour from Bermagui to Montague Island. After having a fantastic time watching the playful seal colonies we circumnavigated the island. Then we saw a blow to the east! Minutes later there was lots of excitement onboard when the whale came up under the boat. It is early in the season but they are on their way .... Our season starts 22 May, 2021. To book your whale adventure please give us a call (02) 6495 1686 or book online www.gowhalewatchingsydney.com.au

11.01.2022 Looks like we’re not the only ones excited about the school holidays! On this morning’s adventure we saw several different pods of humpbacks off North Head, but we spent most of our time with a friendly trio of Mum, Calf and Escort. They gave all aboard Bubbles some beautiful close encounters and one VERY epic (and unexpected) jump by the gigantic escort. We rounded off the trip with a visit to see the seals and some friendly bottlenose dolphins also popped over to say g’day. The perfect start to the school holidays, indeedy! Join us for an adventure! Book direct with us online at www.gowhalewatchingsydney.com.au or give us a bell on (02) 6495 1686.

10.01.2022 If we had to give today’s whales a score out of 10, we’d have to give them at least 42! We found our happy trio of Mum Calf and Escort not far off North Head, who were cruising along until the calf suddenly broke the surface with one of the craziest jumps we’ve ever seen! Pretty soon the mum and escort showed us some splashy moves of their own . And then, without any real warning, more whales appeared and suddenly we were watching a pod of at least 5 whales socialising and possibly getting into a little argy bargy, with some head-lunges and even a double breach (which, unfortunately, didn’t fit into our photographer’s frame). An all-round epic Tuesday and one we won’t forget anytime soon! Join us for an adventure! Book direct with us online at www.gowhalewatchingsydney.com.au or give us a bell on (02) 6495 1686.

09.01.2022 Happy Saturday! Our beautifully sunny (and super windy) day with the whales kicked off with a fantastic mum and calf between South Head and Diamond Bay they spent a lot of time on the surface and treated us to some friendly close encounters. At lunchtime we ventured to Narrabeen to catch up with another cow and calf pair they also spent plenty of time on the surface and Mum had beautiful white flanks that made her easy to spot in the gusty conditions. A great day out indeedy with lots of friendly whales around good times! Ready for an adventure? Book direct online at www.gowhalewatchingsydney.com.au or give us a call on 02 6495 1686

07.01.2022 How good are long weekends!? This Labour Day long weekend we had it all cruisey cows with calves, inquisitive adults, even a handful of jolly jumpers all in the comfort of our shorts and T-shirts thanks to the epic summery conditions! So, here are a few of our favourite shots from our fun three days at sea Join us on an adventure! Book direct at www.gowhalewatching.com.au or give us a buzz on (02) 6495 1686.

05.01.2022 An excellent morning on the Tasman sea with stunning weather! We came across a mum calf and escort as soon as we came out of Sydney heads who we watched as they slowly made their way home. We then spotted a few splashes quite a few miles out a little wider which turned out to be a competition pod of 7 whales they treated all aboard Bubbles to a few distant jumps as we approached then jostled around as we tracked them to the south before we returned to base. Another super morning watching this great migration :) Join us on an adventure! Book direct at www.gowhalewatching.com.au or give us a buzz on (02) 6495 1686.

03.01.2022 A super morning with a couple of pods of humpbacks just off Manly. We ended up watching an energetic calf being supervised my mum and escort as it kept everyone on board Bubbles guessing where it was going to jump next. Sydney turned on another spectacular spring day on the Tasman, excellent Ready for an adventure? Book your trip with us direct at www.gowhalewatchingsydney.com.au or give us a bell on 02 6495 1686
