25.01.2022 During this cooperative play moment the children take the time to share their own thoughts and ideas with one another. You can hear the children's own investigations taking place in the clip, but also their interactions with each other and telling each other when to stop and what they need others to do for them.

24.01.2022 "Teaching is in everything you do, every word, action, and experience" Kylie Kinnell Shaelee is singing 'Sleeping Bunnies' with the children. We sing many songs with the children and this is a favourite! Singing and dancing allows the children to extend on their gross motor skills, such as balance and coordination, as well as expand their growing vocabularies. Singing is always a part of our program. Let us know your child's favourite songs at home as we would love to sing with them with the children too!

22.01.2022 A great resource!

18.01.2022 Educator Wednesday "Diapering, feeding, bathing, and bedtime routines are prime opportunities to deepen the connection that refuels our child's body and soul" - Janet Lansbury Here at Gowrie NSW Dubbo Early Education and Care we use the Primary Educator Relationships and Taylor is one of Room Leaders and ensures that all our babies needs are met during the day.... HEY! My name is Taylor. I have been working at Gowrie NSW Dubbo Early Education and Care since March 2018. I am a full-time Room Leader in the nursery as of this year and have been in the toddlers room previous years. I am currently working towards my Diploma at TAFE NSW. I enjoy camping on the regular and exploring the outdoors. I enjoy each and moment during my day here at Gowrie NSW Dubbo Early Education and Care, and value the strong and positive relationships with both families and children I get to create.

15.01.2022 "Sometimes we forget that literacy can be play, too. Or that the best way to explore and build literacy skills is to add opportunities for reading, writing, and alphabet exploration to our play experiences" Scott Wiley, ECT In Room 4 the children shared their ideas that they wanted to explore cooking within their room. After the discussion, the children began writing their own lists with many attempting letters to create words. They extended this into taking food orders from ...each other. Cheeseburgers and cake were a popular choice. We will be extending this further by creating a cafe within the room where the children are able to take orders for the children, writing out food recipes and creating our own cooking book. 15.01.2022 Educator Wednesday "Play provides opportunities for children to learn as they discover, create, improvise and imagine" (Early Years Learning Framework, 2009, p.17). At Gowrie NSW Dubbo Early Education and Care we are strong believers in just how important play is for the children who attend our centre. Great starts early! And so does play! Laura is a Room Leader and ensures that our 2-3 year olds have opportunities to play all day.... Hi, I am Laura! I am the Room Leader of the Toddlers Room at Gowrie NSW Dubbo Early Education and Care. I began working at Gowrie in February and have enjoyed forming strong connections with the children and their families. I love engaging in meaningful interactions with the children and fostering their learning and development through play. I am currently studying a Bachelor of Early Childhood Education. I enjoy travelling and experiencing different cultures of the world.

13.01.2022 Very important info below.

11.01.2022 The children made volancoes in the sandpit and watched as the chemical reaction occurs between the bicarb soda and the vinegar to create an eruption! When we encourage the children to explore and engage in science play, it allows them to further their learning processes, dispositions and skills.

10.01.2022 Educator Wednesday "No significant learning occurs without a significant relationship" - James Comer At Gowrie NSW Dubbo Early Education and Care we place the highest importance on the relationships that we create with the children and families who attend our centre. Jasmine (aka Jas) knows just how to create these relationships!... HEY, my name is Jasmine! I’ve been working in childcare for over 5 years now and have started as the Room Leader for the children between 2.5-3.5yrs at the beginning of this year at Gowrie NSW. I love my job because I get to see the children I work with learn and grow everyday and I’m lucky enough to guide them and watch them reach their fullest potential in a warm and welcoming environment. Building relationships with the children and families I work with is a vital part in achieving this as well as providing an all inclusive program that builds of the children needs, strengths and interests. Outside of work I enjoy spending time with my family and friends as well as going on trips and trying different food.

10.01.2022 "Imagination is the highest form of research" Albert Einstein The past week the children in Room 1 have been showing interest in the sun coming through the blocks. To extend on their play, the educators will begin to explore colour mixing using water colour paints and coffee filters/paper towel to watch as the colours mix and change before examining against the window and on the lightbox. 02.01.2022 In Room 3 the children for Science Week engaged in experiences related to this years theme, ‘Deep Blue: Innovations for the Future of our Oceans.’ On this day we extended on the short video called, ‘A Whales Story’. To extend on their learning we filled buckets with nice fresh water and seashells. We then added the sea animals to the tub while discussing with the children how clean the water is. Once there were all full we spoke about how rubbish can get into our oceans so we... need to put it in the bin or the sea animals may eat it and get sick. We then poured all the rubbish in the buckets and asked the children what they could see. They all responded with ewwwww, Rubbish. After the children pointed out how dirty the water had become Jasmine asked the children if they could help her clean it all up so we can keep the sea animals healthy and happy and our oceans clean. This experiences allows the children to deepen their ideas on the impact of human activity on our environments what they can do to help. Early Years Learning Environment, Outcome 2
