07.01.2022 Jo Collins joins Goyder Institute Board: The Goyder Institute for Water Research is pleased to announce that Jo Collins has been nominated as the new Board member representing the South Australian Government. Jo is Executive Director of Agriculture, Food and Wine within Primary Industries and Regions SA (PIRSA). She drives the strategic direction of the agency and leads the development of the State Government’s strategic and economic priorities of Premium Food and Wine from... our Clean Environment. Jo brings extensive skills in strategy development, communications and community engagement and positioning government agency effort to best deliver strategic policy outcomes. Jo has held leadership positions with the Department of Environment, Water and Natural Resources (DEWNR), the Premier’s Murray-Darling Basin Taskforce, the Department for Water and SA Health. Jo spearheaded the Fight for the Murray campaign, a cornerstone of the state’s ultimately successful strategy to secure an extra 450 gigalitres of water, and led the communications and engagement underpinning Water for Good - SA’s plan to ensure water security to 2050 and beyond.
