22.01.2022 A truly amazing specimen of Xanthorrhea, it would be hard to imagine that there are many left. It is a shame that more protections aren't put in place to protect these plants - it is sad to see harvested Grass Trees for sale at some of the big nurseries - great they're still alive, but ridiculous that they've been removed from their environment. Some of the bigger ones on sale would be hundreds of years old, which would have been relied upon by generations of birds and gliders for food and habitat.

21.01.2022 It is frustrating to see bush being cleared which the property owner thinks hold no value other than what they can impose upon it (in this case - a motorbike track). I thought I'd share some photos of the type of plants that have been removed in the name of occasional recreation. All these photos where taken on the same day (26th October 2018).

21.01.2022 Hi all! After 13 wonderful years, Gippsland Plains Nursery is closing down. Thank you to all who have supported us over the years, it's been great to meet you all, and good on you for planting indigenous plants back where they belong! We are selling everything we have left, so if you have any projects coming up, now would be a good time to get in touch. We also have galvanised steel mesh tables to sell, irrigation equipment, netting and more!

20.01.2022 The result of clearing is essentially the complete removal of biodiversity.

12.01.2022 We had a project with Gippsland Water to grow as many Wellington Mint Bushes as we could from the seed they kindly provided. We managed to get 300 hardy plants out to them recently, and we’re hoping they’ll thrive in their new home!

11.01.2022 We are having a closing down sale beginning today, everything must go! No reasonable offers refused!!

03.01.2022 Hi all, we’ve been getting many phone calls about Christmas trees. I’m sorry to say we are not in that sort of business, and I don’t know which direction to point you towards if are looking for them. Good luck in your search though!!
