25.01.2022 When you get little notice and have to choose whether you go away for the long weekend or stay and get the job done with tradies all working around you. Just do it!

24.01.2022 Gardeners matter. Tips for you during these tough times. Prepare now and ye shall reap.

23.01.2022 Part of works requested for a lovely family who have become regulars.

22.01.2022 Redesigning a garden doesn’t have to blow a tight budget. Using mostly existing plants and products around, one can refresh by re-styling.

20.01.2022 Owner tells me his father put this up way back in the 60’s believing it to be a scenic shot of an old Greek village (he was Greek). Apparently, after his passing away, it came to be that it was a shot of Portofino in Italy. Apparently, he would be turning in his grave now, knowing this is not Greek, but Italian. .

20.01.2022 A shady yard struggles with children’s need for physical activities. Time to re-Turf.......

19.01.2022 One of the most intriguing property clean ups I’ve had.

18.01.2022 First time use of the wonderful Sir Grange Zoysia turf. Even though it costs almost 3 times the cost of Buffalo (due to the preparations req.) it is worth it. Best looking turf I’ve ever laid. Deck boards are a composite and the whole yard looks compact and neat.

17.01.2022 During a busy period, a regular called for an urgent job. Create a driveway/off street car spot where there were steps. Ok, after a half hour of head scratching, no worries. Just get in and do it. 4 days before their first inspection job done with a day to spare and sporting an injured knee throughout. Clients were great throughout and very appreciative. Got a mention in their local. Tail end of the story........... Adrian Tsavalas did a terrific job as our real estate agent; I would highly recommend him to anyone who wants a great result. Not only was Adrian generous with his insights into the property market, but he was also generous with his time and contacts. His advice was always excellent, and he truly went beyond what is expected, which helped with my occasional bouts of pre-selling nerves. Adrian and his team were there to hold our hands when necessary it was a true partnership between seller and agent. He’s a special man. Our property at 56 Union Street, Tempe, sold well above our expectations and a double bonus, it sold to a lovely couple. You know the old saying, it takes a village, well when selling or buying a home it does. Adrian has been in real estate since 2005, with McGrath since 2012 he had a long list of contacts who helped us get our house ready to sell. All were experts in their fields, did an excellent job and did not rip us off regarding pricing. I want to take the opportunity to thank our selling and buying team. 17.01.2022 Simplicity is at times, best. Lagerstroemia about to flower & Dichondra groundcover we’re picked for their colour, drought resistance and the fact the property is not tenanted. With no one around to water them, why fill the garden with thirsty greens so that this heat will just wither them? Aside from that, there were pebbles for 15cm before hitting dirt.

14.01.2022 When all they ask for is to put lipstick on the pig.

13.01.2022 The brief: Pull it all out and revamp with low maintenance plants.

12.01.2022 When your yard is constantly wet with little sun light coming through, consider synthetic grass.

11.01.2022 Does your bush need a trim? Keep it neat and tidy, satisfaction guaranteed.

07.01.2022 Another rush job with little notice. Years of walking from garage to house on lawn took its toll. My first suggestion? Why don’t we drop some pavers down? Et voila.

06.01.2022 Want to sell? First impressions will get prospectives in the right mindset. Show them what they’re looking at buying.

04.01.2022 Just turf it and move on.

04.01.2022 Cut out 2 openings and fit White translucent safety glass to door. Frame the doorway with SS wire for the Wisteria to grow around. This will look beautiful when the Wisteria takes over.

02.01.2022 It’s a jungle out there.

01.01.2022 Simple paved stepping stones and some new turf can make for a cheap make over.
