There is also heaps of important information on what you need to know early on about becoming a GP, especially about the early choices you'll need to make after graduating.... Lastly, there are HEAPS of stories from real GPs across Australia who have created for themselves unique careers and who work in niche areas that you may have never known existed in general practice! We learned about life as a rural generalist, practised advanced life support, delivery of a baby, chest drain insertion and suturing... plus we met lots of cute animals A big thanks to GPRA, Health Workforce Queensland, Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine (ACRRM), & RACGP Rural for helping make this camp possible. We also thank our QRGP guest speakers Drs Claudia Collins, Zoe Wright, Ryan Avery, and Catherine Mac...donald for volunteering their time and expertise.
