25.01.2022 Gr8 Secret Bar J.Boroski @j.boroski in Thonglor, Bangkok You should know exactly what you do and dont like in terms of flavour profile in a drink because there is no menu, so you can guide them to making the perfect drink to your tastes. By working with the friendly mixologists, they will give their best to help you out to achieve your suitable customized drink.... When youve both figured the perfect drink out, You may also ask how much would your drink cost to avoid any surprises if you are on a tight budget.

25.01.2022 One of my favourites, sticky date pudding with a delicious caramel sauce.... Courtesy of @roundbirdlilydale I cheated again no cooking and ordered their meal,. A luxury being able to have a nice restaurant quality meal delivered.

24.01.2022 Roast lamb on a quinoa salad with Roti and the most amazing yoghurt sauce, huge depth of flavour, trying to get @roundbirdlilydale to give me the recipe,. This was the other half of my delivered meal the other night from them... Simply amazing as always

23.01.2022 One of my favourite dishes, beans, chorizo and pork belly, a little chicken stock, plenty of garlic and chillies, fresh thyme and a little paella herbs (saffron etc(. Traditionally the Spanish version would have a ham hock or smoked/pork bones and maybe not any chorizo, but as pork belly has such mild flavour I like to add chorizo. I also love adding watercress. Even better substituting pork belly for fresh clams.

23.01.2022 Hows this blini with a celeriac remoulade house smoked salmon and salmon roe. Taste was perfect for me.

23.01.2022 Thats how I like my meat,. Cheap cut of supermarket beef,. Blade I think, but tender as when cooked carefully in a big chunk. Gr8 Aussie beef

22.01.2022 Gr8 Secret Bar J.Boroski @j.boroski in Thonglor, Bangkok The classy bar interior, in collaboration with Joseph Boroski, was designed by Ashley Sutton a prolific and also world renowned as an interior designer who also has an impeccable passion for what hes doing. This high-end bar design is all about style and sophistication. Soft browns and coppers create a luxurious, upmarket vibe, reminiscent of the New York-style bar scene.... With a team like that, youre definitely in for a moment that youll never forget.

22.01.2022 Pasta for dinner, Aldi sale on pasta rollers etc. $20 for the machine, $4 each for the cutters etc. Machine included a drying rack. Couldnt really go wrong at those prices....

22.01.2022 Rare Beef on Garlic mashed Potatoes with a green peppercorn and brandy sauce and rattatouille style vege with a touch of chipotle pineapple and lime sauce. Mashed potatoes were topped up with a little smoked butter, the meat sprinkled with a dash of smoked shitake salt. Essential for the mashed potatoes lots of garlic fried slowly in butter, then cream added. The star of the show was definitely the delicious green peppercorn and brandy sauce by #boutiquesauces and courtesy of Hunter Valley Hampers. But of course the smoked butter and shitake salt from Yarra Valley smokery are essentials in my kitchen too. The chipotle was left over from an earlier meal and I love the smokiness and fresh tang as well. I am very lucky to have been given some to try out, they definitely make some awesome sauces. @ Lilydale, Victoria, Australia

16.01.2022 Secret Bar Havana Social @havanasocialbkk in Nana, Bangkok

14.01.2022 Do you live sweet treats, finally got this vanilla bean Salted Caramel Sauce in the mail from Hunter valley hampers (online gourmet pantry and gift shop) and it was well worth the wait, I liked it best paired with other items not so sweet like the yoghurt and this tasty raspberry, fig Frangipane tart take away from my local cafe #roundbirdcantfly . The sauce is normally more runny, but I had put mine in the fridge first, #boutiquesauces who make them have some fantastic pro...ducts (all carried by hunter valley hampers), all chef made, no artificial colours or preservatives and super yummy. Wait till you see the other sauces coming up, so excited to be tasting them, think Dianne and buttery leek or green peppercorn and brandy. Omg just brekkie time and I cant wait for dinner.... I am so lucky to work with Hunter Valley Hampers and get samples from amazing producers like this sometimes. However HVH do have a $25 free voucher on their vip club so it makes it easy enough to order things, as always I only feature products I like, from producers I love and want to support. Being based in Yarra Valley area myself I also get to try lots of local food, but it is nice to be able to try out food from another great gourmet region and I know many of you are from the Sydney area as well so Hunter Valley is a bit of a gourmets dream over that way.

14.01.2022 Apple brandy negroni with touch of lemon myrtle vodka to boost it a bit for large glass. Using #adelaidehillsdistillery fine brandy and Italian bitter orange and #huntetdistillery lemon myrtle vodka. Almost out of the Italian bitter orange and apple brandy which both truly deserve the awards they have won....time to but more. Can't be without them.

12.01.2022 Pineapple dipped in @boutique_sauces chocolate salted caramel sauce.... A match made in heaven

08.01.2022 Finally got round to making pasta with the new roller/cutter I bought a month or two ago, well worth the effort for some delicious pasta, needed 3 yolks plus two eggs which seemed a lot to me, but made a nice tasty pasta, see the next shot for my seafood marinara.

05.01.2022 Gr8 Secret Bar J.Boroski @j.boroski in Thonglor, Bangkok The drinks at J. Boroski tend to be more New York Style than the sweeter styles found at many places, but mixologists will match your tastes I am sure, the staff are extremely good here.

05.01.2022 Spring has arrived in Melbourne, which means my clematis is flowering....

05.01.2022 Home made pasta with clams, squid, prawns and mussels, turned out beautifully, pleased to find local shop here in my small outer Melbourne suburb selling vacuum packed fresh clams which is great.

03.01.2022 Guess what I am making in the slow cooker, first time trying this condensed milk, self raising flower and bananas... Mixed then put in cake tin in slow cooker. A few cm of water and then teatowel under lid, steam for two hours... And you have a very easy and pretty tasty banana cake. @ Lilydale, Victoria, Australia

02.01.2022 I am a huge fan of Caipirinhas, and just tried using Gunnery Australian native spirit (a spiced white rum style spirit) by @adelaidehillsdistillery and the first ever lime off my tree. Perfect match, move over Cachaca, Gunnery is my new go to. Amazing with the subtle Aussie botanicals, molasses and cane sugar base. The Aussie #caipirinha has arrived...if you love #whiterum with a distinct style Gunnery is well worth having in your cocktail cabinet. I bought a couple of other spirits from them to try out as well, also fantastic, stay posted..
