21.01.2022 I'm seeing the world through new eyes since I brought baby Sophie into the world. Everything is in minature, from tiny clothes, to tiny toes and this past month has been full of new beginnings and pleasant surprises. I understand now why they called it 'A bundle of joy'. It really is a joyful time, with a joyful tiny human being that has chosen us to be her parents. This tiny being has bought so much joy to all the loving people around her, and us. We have been swarmed wit...h so many well wishes and gifts from all over and so I can truly feel the love for her and the warm open arms. I'm finding so much peace with our newborn baby. When I see her sleeping, to when she is looking around ever so slowly during the middle of the night feeds, it makes me cry every time. Like it's the most beautiful thing I've ever seen in my life! Everyone told me don't worry about your fears, you will be absolutely fine and when you meet your baby, I guarantee you, you will fall in love. They were not wrong!

14.01.2022 This is what the ultra sound room looks like with a big fancy machine that measures your baby and I found out today this baby has lots of hair, it was literally blowing in the wind! Good thing to know, so it must take after me then !

10.01.2022 There is a new photography exhibition on at the National Film and Sound Archives I’ve recently documented. Mervyn Bishop is about an indigenous press photographer who’s career spanned 60 years. Well worth a look if you are in Canberra.

03.01.2022 Introducing Sophie Grace Venice, our little girl who has brought so much joy with her to the planet. It took me a month to give her a full name but here it is. The first month of motherhood has been a great joy and my little family is having a wonderful time getting to know this little girl and discover her spirit. Thank you for all the love you have showed us during this season my friends, it means so much to us

01.01.2022 The night before, I had a bad dream that my camera gear wouldn’t work and I had the perfect position to photograph the Queen but I couldn’t get the shot !! This day was October 2011 at the Royal Military College Duntroon in Canberra, my workplace. There was a huge lead up to the major event of the Queen and Prince Phillip visiting the college, there was so much media in attendance and a lot of pomp and ceremony. The public was able to visit the parade and my family members came along. I was placed on the parade ground being pushed around by British media. Then had the enjoyment of attending the garden party as a photographer at Duntroon House, I had only a good view of Prince Phillip and these are my shots. I think I snapped that camera like crazy that day!! In fact all of us did
