Having trained ...her first horse Toby an Anglo-Arab to FEI small tour by the time she was just 17 years old, now just 4 years later can boast having trained more than 5 horses to medium/advanced level dressage, she has had the very best coaching by Australian and international instructors. Using the training scale as a base Grace will bring your horse along in training or into work after a break with her special way of being effective but kind in her training methods. OTTB and young warmbloods are her specialty. You are more than welcome to come and watch her ride clients horses.
23.01.2022 Thursday Throwback November 2019 So satisfying when you get to put correct and kind foundations in a clients horse and take it out to it’s very first official EA competition. Even better when the training shines through and he handles it all like he’s done it a thousand times. Can’t wait to get our own team out and about as soon as Covid 19 let’s us. The team is enjoying training time. But ready to let our light shine.

20.01.2022 Bonnie is a 3 year old Welsh X pony, just 12 weeks into the breaking in process, or 20 or so rides under saddle. Bonnie belongs to Kym and is her first breaker. They’ve just started the canter work. Under Graces watchful eye she is being brought along slowly and kindly with just 3 sessions per week. What a super cool and kind way to start a young ponies education. Kym can’t wait to get out and about in young pony classes with her soon.

11.01.2022 Here’s the ugly truth of what people don’t tell you about going professional: You will work 13, 14, 15, 16+ hour days. Not for a lavish vacation, but to put fuel in a truck and a sheepish dinner on the table. 365 days a year. Rain. Snow. Christmas. Funerals. Hot and humid you are there, you are working. People will tell you your six figure horses will never be nice enough and those three/four figure ones will never be rank enough. ... The biggest shows are the loneliest places. People support you until you become a threat, then they will try and break you down. You will see death and hardships. A lot of hardships. You will want to give up. Why don’t people tell you this? Simple. We wouldn’t have an industry. What people don’t tell you is why you don’t give up: When that quirky horse gets it. When you get that first big sale, first client horse, first investor, or the first time your barn fills up. When those few people believe in you and you start getting phone calls of people being sent to you. When a training client strikes it big. When you finish a day and look back at a farm and business you built. Why don’t people tell you this? 11.01.2022 Was amazing experience today to drag our little motley crew out for the first time in 10 months. Hooked up the float and carted the pony team out to Boneo Park for a protocol day. Vinnie went and did the medium 4C for a ripper score including 8’s for his walk pirouette which according to the judge was how to ride a pirouette video worthy, and Bonnie the pony who was running wild in a mob as an unbroken 3.5 year old 5 months ago who scored some respectable scores in the ...4YO test. Super proud mum of a tired but happy team tonight. We are out of practise at this competitive scene thing. As always a massive....massive shout out to our sponsors and loyal supporters for all their help along the way. It really does take a team to make a dream. 07.01.2022 Yesterday saw a return to official competition for me for the first time in over a year. I had the pleasure of riding young Gem in the 5YO class at Werribee. This exceptional horse bred by Susan Taylor and owned by Kerrie and Louise was only broken in early 2020. This was his first ever competition and had never been worked properly in an indoor. With three beautiful paces and a temperament to die for. He placed 2nd in his first test with a 71.6% and he ran out of fuel a little in the second test but still came 4th had a qualifying score. I’m so excited for the future of this lovely horse for my clients.
