01.01.2022 Basketball Update - CBSQ Tournament Friday featured some of the best basketball our students have ever played. The Senior Boys, still dealing with injuries, pulled out two spectacular wins against Capalaba State College and Emmaus College. Twin Towers, Diing Deng and Tobey Malpass have been unstoppable in the paint. ... The Senior Girls, lead by some Jordan-esque performances from Shemeah Poloai (6 3's in 2 games) tied their first game in a thrilling and gutsy performance. In their crossover game, the girls pushed the best team in their division to their limits, going down narrowly by 1 point in the final seconds. They effectively shut down the leading female scorer and proved they have well and truly earned their place in this tournament. Today, both squads look to give ourselves a shot at a Top 10 finish. Once again - please send your prayers, well wishes and positive sporting vibes. #gritgrowthgrace
