19.01.2022 Unfortunately our 2020 season has been cancelled The Rockhampton and District Junior Rugby League (RDJRL) would like to announce with much disappointment that we will be unfortunately cancelling the remainder of the 2020 Season. RJRL and Club officials had reached the decision at a committee meeting on Thursday night held under social distancing restrictions. We have assessed the conditions to be imposed on playing and training under the QRL’s Return to Play guidelines and ...determined the impact on volunteers responsible for administering them and ensuring compliance in Level 2 and Level 3 would be too great. The clubs also needed to take into account the health and well being of all involved, field and player availability as well as current club financial conditions. RJRL are currently looking into the process of refunding any fees that some players may be eligible for, however this will be a club by club situation and your club will notify players when information has come through and decisions have been made. Please keep in mind fees can be transferred to the 2021 Season and this will immensely help clubs through the Covid-19 period. Wishing our Players, Coaching Staff, Families and Supporters the best for the remainder of the year and we will see you all in 2021 for a bigger and better year. Kind Regards, Rockhampton Junior Rugby League. See more
16.01.2022 They’re the unsung heroes, the lifeblood of every sports club. They’re the ones who mark the fields, who toil in the club canteens, who collect and wash the... jerseys or who man the gates at every weekend fixture. They devote countless hours to ensuring every player gets to enjoy the game they love. Now we are giving you a chance to recognise them for their service. We are looking for the region’s hardest working sports volunteer it can be a club official, a referee, a canteen staffer or the dedicated parent who runs the oranges without fail every weekend. Send us your nominee’s name and their club and a brief summary of what they do. Nominations close on Wednesday 10am. When they are in, we will collate them into a poll and you decide who takes the title. See more

10.01.2022 MEMO: COVID-19 Update RE: COVID-19 (Coronavirus) TO: Rugby League Clubs and Leagues FOR: Distribution ... DATE: 3 April 2020 Dear Rugby Leagues Clubs, Leagues and Affiliated Bodies, Our nation and our community is facing a time of uncertainty, disruption and challenge that is difficult to comprehend. As you would be aware, Community Rugby League is not immune to the challenges Covid-19 brings. The situation is constantly evolving day by day and we want to say thank you to you all for your patience during this difficult time. The National Rugby League (NRL), in partnership with State governing bodies (NSWRL, NRLVIC, NRLSA, NRLWA, NRLNT & QRL) has postponed community rugby league in Australia. This decision has been informed by advice from Government and relevant Health organisations with view to stopping the spread of COVID-19 virus. The postponement includes all junior and senior community club rugby league competitions, training, gala days, face to face courses and League Stars. We have created a dedicated space on playrugbyleague.com which will house all information related to Covid-19 and its impacts on Community Rugby League including a range of Frequently Asked Questions.
