Dr Wayne and Jenny McDonald have retired after many many years of awesome service and we would like to introduce the new Owner Dr Bridget Newman. Bridget is a long term resident of Gracemere and a very experienced and competent vet. Having worked in mixed animal clinics for 15years + (we dont want to give too much away), Bridget has taken the step in her career. We are new to the social media aspect of business and ask for your patience. Please direct any queries to the office by calling 49331426. We look forward to meeting you all and all of your furbabies.

24.01.2022 Attention Gracemere Dog Owners!! Unfortunately Gracemere is currently experiencing a resurgence in heartworm disease. Heartworm larvae are spread by mosquitoes, making all dogs that are not on adequate preventatives at a high risk. If your dog hasn’t received it’s yearly heartworm prevention needle, or you have been late in administering its monthly tablet, we recommend getting your dog tested. Please don’t let your beloved pet be a summer mozzie statistic!
23.01.2022 Love our wildlife was the subject of discussion for those of you who missed it.... Dr Bridget was on air this morning at 7.10am with tripple M 101.5 #banksyandpinky talking about what to do if you come across injured or sick wildlife, like this little guy who was lucky enough to be saved and brought into the surgery for some TLC. Be sure to listen in every 4 weeks for your chance to win a free microchip voucher. (Peace of mind knowing your fur baby will be reunited if they get lost)
23.01.2022 Lest we forget. We will take this day to remember all those who have served, and still serve, for us and our peace. We remember those that never returned.

13.01.2022 ATTENTION As temperatures soar over the next few days please be mindful of your pets. They feel the heat too! ... Because dogs pant to keep cool, they are at a greater risk of over heating, and some breeds such as staffy's and short faced dogs are at a much higher risk. Avoid exercising them in the heat. Make sure they have access to plenty of shade and cool water. Do NOT leave them unattended in a car. They can also burn their pads on the hot pavement. Please call the clinic if you have any concerns.
13.01.2022 We hope everyone has a great christmas and a safe and happy new year. We are open for business as usual and available for emergencies during the festive season
12.01.2022 COVID-19 Important please read until the end. We understand this is a very difficult and stressful time for everybody. The Gracemere vet surgery team will continue to care for your pets. HOWEVER, to be able to continue this service for you and your pets we need to take care of our vets and nurses too!! PLEASE LET US KNOW... * If you have recently been overseas. * Have been in contact with someone who is unwell. * Have a fever/ cough or flu like symptoms PLEASE let us know over the phone before your arrival, and then on arrival please wait in the car and phone us. We will still see your pet it just means we need to take some extra precautions. We can also discuss potentially scheduling a Skype consultation for any existing clients that have been quarantined or are high risk. The risk is if a staff member is diagnosed with Covid 19 then the entire practice would be put into quarantine and this would prevent us from providing any care to our patients. By all working together we WILL be able to continue business as usual. Thank you for your support and understanding. See more
