23.01.2022 Sandra’s fundraising efforts are reaching people in Kenya affected by COVID-19 closures. Her dear friend Evelyn Chetland, also a resident of Wonthaggi is being forced to stay in Kenya because of airport closures. While stranded in Kenya Evelyn started witnessing families and children starving and so she started a feeding program. Sandra says, Evelyn just reaches out to everyone and touches their hearts, she has done that for me and my family over the years, she’s like a big ...sister always ready to give help. Sandra anticipates her soft drink bottle will be full of $2 coins by Christmas, she says I have no idea how much will be in there (laughs) but there will be a lot and it will help to keep feeding people in Kenya. Sandra does not know when she will see her dear friend again but knows Evelyn is training up people to keep the feeding program going after she is able to leave. Sandra wants to encourage people to focus on helping others the best way we can during these difficult times.
