I don’t think he’ll ever really give up being a grease monkey he just loves it far to much! 17.01.2022 Good morning Guess what???? It’s December tomorrow ... I cannot believe how incredibly fast this year has gone and yet it seems like the longest year of our lives, how does that even work!!! I went to Indooroopilly shopping centre on Saturday and had to drive around 5 times before getting a park(so busy)and the intention was to get a few gifts as every other year I do the Christmas shopping on the 24th Sadly I only found gifts for myself So I’ll be back on the 24/12 to get everyone else’s, why change traditions now!!! This week in the shops we are busy catering and starting Christmas cooking and we’ll have to have loads of pie mixes ready to make into pies as Keith(business partner) is down from Longreach and I need something for him to do so he doesn’t drive Chef crazy (just kidding, he makes a mean pie!) 11.01.2022 Good morning My wonderful friend Matilda Greene took me out last night in beautiful Brisbane city and it was MAGIC! I had an expresso martini for the first time and oh my goodness it was delicious (I don’t normally drink, I’m crazy enough without alcohol!) and I could have had a million more except I didn’t realise how expensive alcohol is so one was good ... Gosh I love living here So today I’m making a tonne of broccoli bacon salad which is on order, cheesecakes, picnic boxes, lasagnas and I’m going to have to put up the prices so I can buy more expresso martini’s (kidding) Hope you have a wonderful Saturday exploring wherever you live Love ya Xxx

December is going to be a fast & busy ride as the catering is massive which is exactly what we need as the last couple of months have been a bit quiet.... Unfortunately due to other commitments Keith(business partner) isn’t coming down from Longreach which is probably a good thing for him as I could see Stressed emotional Wendy crying a lot and that’s not really what you want your business partner to see! 05.01.2022 Good morning Found this meme last night and it brought back a memory of my sister and I when we were little and we found scissors !!!! I think I was about 6 and Jo was 3 and we were so qualified to give each other haircuts which turned out terribly surprise surprise but we didn’t stop there we then went and cut off all the tassels on our bed spreads(that’s what they were called back then) and our curtains!!... Mum wasn’t sure what to punish us for first but boy did we get in trouble and boy did we look stupid with our haircuts Scissors are bad ok! Back to 2021......the cabinets are full with chefs delicious take home meals, Mitch is making the best coffee and Elise & Izzy are getting the sandwich prep ready. 01.01.2022 Normally by this stage of December we have finished cooking for the cabinets to let everything run right down as we close the shop for about 9 days and we concentrate on catering. Apparently not this year!!! I’m staying back tonight to cook to fill the cabinets so we actually have something to sell!!!... It’s so very wonderful and I honestly can’t thank you enough for always supporting us. I enjoy paying our staff and bills and you make this possible So I’d best get back to the kitchen and I won’t say a word about how damn humid it is and I’m going to die Enjoy your Saturday night and the picture below is Apple, maple syrup & pecan crumble pies that I’ve just made!
